Support the Scholarship Endowment! Rooted in the charism of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, the Academy has an enduring commitment to serving students and families of diverse backgrounds. The Scholarship Endowment program has provided financial aid to thousands of HNA families. The need for financial aid continues to grow each year. In 2020- 2021, nearly 40% of students attending HNA received financial assistance, collectively totaling more than $1.95 million. By strengthening the Scholarship Endowment, we ensure that the funds it generates will allow future generations of young women to benefit from the outstanding education available at the Academy. Please donate generously! 100% of your contribution is tax deductible.

1 Welcome

This year’s CHEER! theme, “The HNA Variety Show,” pays tribute to the extraordinary people and talents of the Academy. Thank you to this amazing community for gathering virtually once again to celebrate and support Holy Names Academy.

The funds we raise through the CHEER! 2021 Funded Item will support the Scholarship Endowment Fund. Because of the significant financial difficulties experienced by many members of our community during the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for financial assistance has never been greater. Your generous donations continue to make HNA’s renowned education available to those who need financial assistance, honoring the commitment of the Sisters of the Holy Names to serve young women of all backgrounds.

I am so grateful to the CHEER! Event Sponsors, whose support ensures that the net funds raised directly support the Academy and its students—current and future. We appreciate their gifts to make CHEER! 2021 a great success.

Sincerely,

Liz Swift ’71 Head of School & Principal

89 AUCTION RULES To bid in the silent auction, simply log into the CHEER! OneCause website: //one.bidpal.net/cheer2021/

You will be prompted to provide a valid credit card number before a bid is allowed. Your credit card will not be charged unless you purchase a “buy it now” item, you provide a “guaranteed bid,” or you are the top bidder at the close of the auction on March 27, 2021. • Your winning and guaranteed bids are your legal contract to purchase that item. • Auction items will be awarded to one purchaser only, even if the item was purchased by a group of people. • CHEER! 2021 reserves the right, without notice, to add or withdraw auction items. • All purchases are final, and there will be no exchanges or refunds on items unless otherwise noted. • Winning bidders must pay for their items at the close of the CHEER! 2021 online auction using the credit card registered at first bid. • Holy Names Academy is a 50l(c)(3) charitable organization, and auction payments are tax-deductible as a charitable contribution only to the extent provided by law. • The purchaser assumes the responsibility for picking-up their purchases from Holy Names Academy – during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., unless other arrangements have been made. • Purchasers’ claims for all goods and services must be mutually arranged with the donor unless otherwise noted. Goods and services must be claimed and used within one year of the auction date unless otherwise specified; please check all certificates for expiration dates. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact the donor regarding purchased items or events. • Reservations for trips and vacation accommodations must be mutually arranged with the donor unless otherwise noted. No refunds will be allowed on travel packages for canceled tickets and/or accommodations.
