The CD is compiled from at least 3 different performances and while I found the sound to be adequate to mediocre, the quality of their material does seem to shine through. While I wouldn’t put the band in my own personal Top 10 of 1970’s rockers, they are pretty good. I think it is a shame I wasn’t musically aware in the 70’s because I probably would have liked the band. They’ve got a lively and energetic sound tied to that particular era and it does keep the ears engaged, even during the first half of the disc where the quality of the recording isn’t even as good as some bootlegs I’ve listened to over the years. The audio quality is the biggest problem I had with the entire disc. I think if you are going to reissue this type of album, you really need to make the sound more Official Site presentable than what a typical bootlegger could accomplish. You want to check out tracks like “Detroit Girls”, “Any Way That You Want It”, and “Cherry Baby” in particular, but surprisingly at least to me, each song is pretty good. We also have recently reviewed your new project, under the name Nordic Union, which is a really cool album. What is the reception so far, from the media, the fans? Are you satisfied with it? I would say, the reception has been fantastic, its phenomenal to be honest. The reviews are great, it's even getting airplay on the radio, it's getting on the charts, even the mainstream medias in Sweden are picking it up and writing about it. I never ever experienced that they write about something like this. Yes, I just saw that you posted that you are on nu. 4 or nu. 5 on the Swedish hard rock charts today, which is really good. You never had any prior success on the charts with your other bands or projects? Yes, with Eclipse and with W.E.T. we actually went to nu.1, a couple of years ago. If it wasn't, well I mean, that almost the same day Dream Theater released their album, just one week earlier Megadeth and Avantasia the same day, there are so many good bands and big names. If we would have released it a month later, maybe the competition would not have been so big, maybe we could have landed on nu. 1 Yes, so I wanted to ask you, you have collaborated for Nordic Union with a very big singer, Ronnie Atkins.

ICORNERSTONE I PH: Einer meiner Favoriten ist "Strut': Dieser Song ist damals spontan im Studio entstanden. Was mir daran am besten gefällt, sind - abgesehen von Text und Melodie - die Background Vocals, dasie sehr harmo nisch arrangiert wurden. Auch Stefans Gitarrensolo ist äußerst musikalisch ausgearbeitet. Ein richtiger Ohrwurm, für den wir bei den Auhritten bis jetzt immer positives Feedback von unseren Zuhörern bekommen haben. Auch der größte österreichische Radiosender, Hitradio Ö3, hat diesen bereits mehr mals vorgestellt, worauf wir sehr stolz sind! HL: Habt ihr beide einen Tick, der euch unan genehm ist? Mike, bei dir vielleicht das Aneinanderpressen der Finger im Dreieck, das mir bei Interviews auffällt ;-J)?? MW: (Lacht) Das passiert automatisch ... aber ich glaube, das nennt sich "EisbrechersteIlung'; keine Ahnung, wo ich das aufgeschnappt habe ... PH: Haha!!! Meinen speziellen Geheimtipp habe ich bereits oben genannt, Honigschnaps hilft auch bei Nervosität - in Bezug auf Interviews. Leider habe ich die schlechte Angewohnheit, hier und da an meinen Fingern zu kauen. Dies versuche ich mir allerdings seit längerer Zeit abzugewöhnen. Der Entzug läuh sehr gut, muss ich sagen. HARDLINE Danger zone (Hard Rock) Année de sortie : 2012 Nombre de pistes : 12 Durée : 59' Support : CD Provenance : Acheté HARDLINE, en 2012, c'est la superbe voix de Johnny GIOELI. Tous les autres musiciens ont changé au gré des albums et hormis Double Eclipse, pur chef-d'oeuvre de Hard-Us, HARDLINE s'est contenté d'albums plus où moins agréables depuis. Pour ce quatrième opus, je suis parti peu convaincu à l'abordage de ce nouvel effort...et la surprise en devient donc plus qu'agréable ! Avec un nouveau line-up et des compositions réussis de Alessandro DEL VECCHIO (EDGE OF FOREVER), claviériste et producteur italien, voilà que cet album remet HARDLINE dans les hauteurs ! Alessandro a fait un excellent travail pour cet album ! Voilà pourquoi Serafino PERUGINO, président de Frontiers Records a, d'après la biographie, insisté auprès de Johnny pour qu'il vienne donner de la voix ! M. PERUGINO a eu raison, le résultat le prouve. Une autre raison de cette réussite tient en l'arrivée du guitariste Thorsten KOEHNE (EDEN'S CURSE) ! Il était temps que HARDLINE s'accorde (Il y a un jeu de mot je crois !) les services d'un guitariste de cette trempe là ! Son travail est énorme et les quelques solos placés ici où là sont fantastiques. Un peu plus n'aurait pas été un luxe ! Ce qui frappe aussi sur cet album, c'est que malgré des titres tous au delà des 4 minutes (jusqu'à 6'16), aucun sentiment de lassitude ne se fait sentir... Les refrains reviennent avec joie, quelques passages instrumentaux "guitares/claviers" relèvent l'ambiance, c'est un festival..

Undersökningen ska även besvara de förändringar eller icke- förändringar som skett, samt hur kulturen påverkar utformandet av skivomslag inom varje musikgenre. Syftet är att får en ökad förståelse och inblick i kopplingen mellan musikgenre och bild i utformandet av skivomslag. Med hjälp av den semiotiska bildanalysen har skivomslagen analyserats under två olika tidsperioder. Resultaten av analyserna visar att båda musikgenrerna har gått över till mer tolkningsbara skivomslag. De äldre skivomslagen är mer genrespecifika än de senare, detta hör också till att de senare blivit mer tolkningsbara då alla de äldre skivomslagen hade någon form av artist- eller banduppställning. Slutsatsen är att det är tydligt att båda musikgenrerna är mansdominerade, men detta syns främst i de äldre skivomslagen där de har artist- eller banduppställning. Båda musikgenrerna har gått ifrån den uppställningen som tidigare dominerade skivomslagen och har nu övergått till motiv som är mer öppna för tolkning som kan göra innehållet av skivan tydligare. Christer comes over sounding like Anders Eklund from House Of Shakira crossed with Mark Boals and ‘Arrival to Earth’ is the breathtaking album from South David Readman from Pink Cream 69, while the song itself Bend sensations PURE STAR MOVEMENT. PSM border on is maybe a little Axel Rudi Pell in style. The Europe meets modern melodic/progressive rock influences and is rich in Masterplan crispness of ‘Dead Or Alive’ is a good melodic, diversity and heartfelt musical passion. ‘Unstoppable’ is while ‘Human’ is a little tighter with a punchy chorus and stunning commercial modern rock in style, with the vocals solid guitars in the vein of Domain and PC69. ‘Ray Of Light’ is almost like Kip Winger in the high parts. Musically the song another catchy ditty, a faster paced song, a little Royal Hunt is progressive, modern progressive rock if you will.
