Cake competition Theme: World Cup or international Your cake can be a flag of a country taking part, a football strip, player, famous international landmark etc.

Judge: To be judged by Kay, owner of Chandler’s Cafe on Moyser Road.

Cakes will be judged on appearance and taste.

Three age groups: Under-12s, 12-16s and 16s and over. 3 prizes awarded for each category.

Free entry. No nuts please.

All cakes must be brought to the Cake Competition Stall between 1.30-2.00 pm. Label your entry with your name and a contact phone number.

Winners will be announced at 3.00 pm. Cakes will be sold after the competition. If you don’t want your cake to be sold after the event please indicate on your entry

Local Churches’ Action Sunday We start at 10.30 am with a short service in Welham Road between St James' Church and Mitcham Lane Baptist Church.Then the local churches will be sending out teams into the Furzedown community between 11.00 am and 1.00 pm to undertake cleaning, tidying, decorating and gardening. We go where help is needed! We finish with a free BBQ at 1.00 pm to which everyone is welcome!
