Growing up in California, Aiden Aizumi did not always feel comfortable with the role he was born into. Adopted from Japan with his brother, Stefen Lawrence, Aiden Aizumi grew up in Arcadia, Calif. He was born as a girl in Japan, and named Ashley Akemi.
