It is located in the ski and tourist resort of Jasná – Chopok Juh, at the altitude of 1,213 metres. In summer, Srdiečko is a popular starting point of various tourist trails that run to the peaks of the Low Tatras and attractions of the Horehronie region. The hotel is only a 1-hour drive from Poprad airport, a 4-hour drive from Krakow airport and a 3-hour drive from the airport of the capital city, Bratislava. SRDIEČKO SUITE The Srdiečko suite is located on the 1st floor near the wellness centre and offers stunning views of the Low Tatras. It consists of 2 separate rooms – a bedroom with a double bed and a living room including a kitchenette. The living room is furnished with a large sofa bed and a smaller couch which can serve as 3 extra beds. This ensures comfortable accommodation for up to 5 people. There is a separate section in the suite consisting of a fully equipped kitchenette, a dining table and a mini fridge. The bathroom features a bath, a toilet and a hairdryer. The suite size is 60 m2. Number of suites: 1 1-BEDROOM SUITE The suite consists of 2 separate rooms – a bedroom with a double bed and a living room with a sofa bed that can serve as 2 extra beds, which means comfortable sleeping for 4 people. The suites located on higher floors offer views of the southern slopes of the Low Tatras. The living room features a satellite TV, a phone and a mini fridge. In the bathroom, there is a shower, a hairdryer and a toilet. The suite size is 29.7 m2. Number of rooms: 3 STANDARD ROOM WITH AN EXTRA BED Standard double rooms of this type are located on all four floors. They are ideal for pairs or holidays with kids. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the natural potential of Demanovska Valley, to analyze the development of tourism over the past 10 years, the current state of the cable cars, ski lifts and slopes, as well as accommodation facilities in the valley. Also to point to the growing interest in Demanovska Valley and the growing share of visitors within the district, country and Slovakia. E-mail: [email protected] Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of trends and causes of changes of selected hydroclimatic variables influencing the runoff regime in the upper Hron River basin (Slovakia). Different methods for identifying trends in data series are evaluated and include: simple mass curve analysis, linear regression, frequency analysis of flood events, use of the Indicators of Hydrological Alteration software, and the Mann-Kendall test. Analyses are performed for data from two periods (1931–2010 and 1961–2010). The changes in runoff are significant, especially in terms of lower QMax and 75 percentile values. This fact is also confirmed by the lower frequency and extremity of flood events. The 1980s are considered a turning point in the development of all hydroclimatic variables. The Mann-Kendall test shows a significant decrease in runoff in the winter period. The main causes of runoff decline are: the considerable increase in air temperature, the decrease in snow cover depth and changes in seasonal distribution of precipitation amounts.
