Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 1. The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, ) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2019 2. The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Teffont) (Restricted Roads) Order 2019 Notice is hereby given that proposes to make the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Teffont) (Restricted Roads) Order 1997 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2 the effect of which will be as follows: a) To introduce a 20mph speed limit on Cul de Sac leading to Bridleway 10 (UC 963201), Holt Lane (UC 983101), Long Meadow (UC 983101) – the complete lengths; (UC 963206) – from its junction with B3089 for a distance of 658 metres in a southerly direction; (C277) – from its junction with B3089 for a distance of 835 metres in a northerly direction; b) To introduce national speed limit on Teffont Evias (UC 963206) – from a point 658 metres south of its junction with B3089 for a distance of 57 metres. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) High Street (Part), ; from its junction with Tisbury Road for a distance of approximately 220 metres in a southerly direction to enable BT to carry out the renewal of a decaying telegraph pole. Alternative route: via Dinton Road – Catherine Ford Lane – B3089 – A30 – High Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 January 2020 and the closure will be required for one day. B) C43 (Part), and ; from the centre point of Pythouse Bridge for a distance of approximately 50 metres in a northerly and southerly direction each side of the bridge to enable Network Rail to carry out kerbing works to the approaches of the bridge. Alternative route: via C43 (unaffected length) – C298 – C61 – C300 – C299 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 January 2020 and the closure will be required until 31 January 2020. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.
