This packet provides students with everything needed to support at-home learning. Easy-to-use daily schedules cover eight weeks of important grade-level content to keep skills sharp while schools are closed. What’s included for you in this packet: • Introductory guidance to get your student set up to learn • Eight weeks of planned at-home learning, including detailed daily schedules with specific activities for each subject • Subject-specific activities and text that follow the daily schedules How do you get started? 1. Establish a daily routine. Providing some regular structure can help make the home learning plan easy to follow. Review the “Recommended Daily Routine” section for tips on what schedule to set up. 2. Think through how to make sure students get the most out of home learning. Review the “Learning Goals for Students” sections for tips. 3. Prepare for your first day’s lessons. Review the “Prepare for Your First Day” section so you know what to expect each day. This will help give you an idea of how to complete assigned activities throughout the eight-week plan. Note to Parents/Caregivers: We know many caregivers are balancing home learning with other priorities, so you are encouraged to support your student in a way that works best for your family. For example, some caregivers may check in with students a few times per day while others may check in with students only in the early mornings or evenings.
