One of the items included in the accord was the Comprehensive Rural Reform (CRR), an agreement laying out substantive measures on rural development aimed at improving land access, public goods provision and peasant’s agricultural supports. This thesis explores whether negotiated transitions can serve to enact distributive rural change through an in-depth examination of the relationship between Colombia’s rural development policy and the peace accord. It traces the antecedents, negotiation and early implementation of the CRR.

Por otro lado, estas em- presas han hecho procesos de privatización parcial o de democratización accionaria. Si se hace un ejercicio1, buscando las hojas de vida de quienes conforman las juntas di- rectivas de estas tres empresas públicas, candidatizados y nombrados por el gobierno, en asamblea, excepto aquellos de los accionistas minoritarios, que surgen de los procesos de privatización parciales, y las Empresas Publicas de Medellín, se reafirma el carácter elitista de la sociedad colombiana, con solo mirar el origen académico de sus integrantes.
