    Chapter 8 Route Window NE7 Chadwell Heath station Transport for London CHADWELL HEATH STATION Baseline conditions 8 Route Window NE7 8.6 This route window lies within the London Boroughs of Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham. Chadwell Heath station Chadwell Heath station is a local commuter station and is in Travelcard zone 5. The station building is located on Station Road, south of the junction with the A118 High Road. (See fig. 8.1.) Transport for London Introduction 8.1 Chadwell Heath station is located in the centre of this route window. The construction activities in this route window consist in minor refurbishment works and platform extensions at the station, and the provision of a the new Chadwell Heath freight loop. 8.2 The Crossrail project will enhance public transport capacity between Chadwell Heath and Stratford, the City and West End. At the time of Manor Park station a recent survey, however, cars frequently stopped there to drop passengers off or pick them up. Whitta Road, a residential street to the north of the station, is used for the same purpose.
