TomTom Bar & Eatery is a newly developed Gastrobar housed in a historically significant site, which has been protected and enhanced.

“Victoria Park, originally a refuse station, whose chimney was used to burn the city’s rubbish.

The celebrity ramp was used by the horses pulling their rubbish laden wagons to the destructor and the generator provided power to Auckland’s first street lights.

Ninety-four work horses were housed in the stables and across the road, now a green park, was once beach front.”

TomTom full venue hire

TomTom is ideal for birthday celebrations, engagement parties, weddings, Christmas functions, or corporate presentations and meetings and can be arranged in a variety of ways in order to suit your requirements. Marquee hire can be quoted on to protect the deck for unfavourable weather, please note marquee hire does not work towards minimum spend requirements.

Deposit $3000 Minimum spend $dependant on time of year

Full venue hire will not be available on Fridays or Saturdays. When the minimum spend is reached, the deposit is deducted from the final bill. If the minimum spend is not reached, the shortfall is taken from the deposit.

OUTDOOR DECK – capacity 150 cocktail, Dining 60

The outdoor deck is a relaxed space ideal for larger groups celebrating farewells, birthday’s, engagements and after work drinks. It’s equally great for formal occasions like cocktails and canapés, or can be used for more laid back gatherings. The furniture can be rearranged by request and the area can be roped off for your function. Marquee’s can be quoted on to protect your function from unexpected weather.

For dining groups of 20 or more a deposit of $300 is required and a set menu must be selected

Full hire of the deck will be quoted on a case by case enquiry and the minimum spend will be dependent on the time of year of the function. At 10pm all music must stop on the deck and at midnight, no alcohol can be consumed on the deck.

MAIN BAR – capacity for casual drinks, canapés and cocktails 20 – 100 persons

The main bar area is a large, light filled space, ideal for small groups booking individual leaners for after work drinks and nibbles or evening catch ups. The main bar area can be hired for groups up to 100 and suits casual gatherings of up to 100 people. For bookings over 20 people a deposit of $300 is required to secure the space. Minimum spends will be applicable during the Christmas period and summer months.

FORMAL DINING AREA – capacity seated dinner 60

Our restaurant area is great for large and small groups and can be hired for exclusive use. For groups of 15 people or more, a deposit of $300 is required to secure the reservation. For bookings of 30 people or more in the restaurant area, a deposit of $500 is required to secure the booking and the table must select from one of our function set menus.

Minimum spends will be applicable during the Christmas period and summer months.

We can cater to any type of atmosphere or function you would like whether it’s a work dinner, a 40th birthday party or a 3 course sit down meal, we have many suggestions and are happy to help with sourcing equipment and decorations. BAR ACCOUNTS

At TomTom you can set up a tab for your guests to a credit limit decided by you. Once that limit has been reached you can choose to add further funds, or your guests can then pay as they go at the bar. As the account holder, you can specify the beverage range available to guests on the account, such as beer and wine only. You can also offer a subsidised drinks tab where guests pay the remainder of the balance on each drink, or alternatively guests can pay for themselves.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS All bookings will be confirmed when the deposit has been paid and terms and conditions have been signed or confirmed via email. Deposits/minimum spends may apply for seasonal events such as Christmas, major sporting events or key calendar dates. You will be advised of these if necessary.

Minimum spend requirements will apply on certain days specified by TomTom. If the guaranteed minimum spend is not achieved, the balance will be added to the bill. Please ask Dayna, Andrew or Tom for more information regarding minimum spends. If the number of guests is more than 20, TomTom may require a set menu or pre-order. You will be advised as necessary.

All final amounts must be settled at the conclusion of the function. There will be no accounts run or invoices sent unless prior arrangement has been made with TomTom’s management. While the team at TomTom will ensure suitable space is reserved for the numbers booked should fewer numbers arrive, the booked area may be relocated to accommodate for other patrons. Although we try to meet area preferences, no specific table or space can be guaranteed.

Under NO circumstances will TomTom allow food or beverages to be brought onto the premises, with the exception of a cake where a cake service fee of $30.00 will be charged. All prices shown include GST, are current at this time and are subject to change.

TomTom is a private premises and entry is not guaranteed to everyone. TomTom requests patrons adhere to a smart casual dress code. Those not complying with the dress code may be refused entry or asked to leave. TomTom is an R18 venue, the whole of the premises is a SUPERVISED area. No person under the age of 18 is permitted on the premises unless accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. By 9.30pm all persons under the age of 18 are required to vacate the premises.

Credit card details may be required for any lunch or dinner bookings of 10 persons or more, in order to guarantee the reservation. The credit card to which the account is to be charged must be provided on the day of the function, and will be held at the bar until the account is signed off and paid for. Cancellation Policy Sunday – Thursday If cancellation occurs 4 weeks before the date of the function, 50% of the deposit is returned. If cancellation occurs within 4 weeks of the function, the deposit is non-refundable. Friday – Saturday If the function is cancelled up to 8 weeks in advance of the function, the deposit will be refunded in full. If cancellation occurs within 8 weeks of the function, the deposit is non- refundable. If, for any reason, TomTom is unable to meet its obligations in regard to any bookings, we reserve the right to cancel any such booking without liability and will refund any deposits made. The client is responsible for and agrees to indemnify TomTom for any loss of property, damage or expense caused to TomTom and/or its property, by guests attending the function and agrees to the full cost of repairing or rectifying any damages by the client or their guests, and to cover any additional cleaning costs that may be incurred. TomTom will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property, equipment merchandise of the client and their guests. It is illegal in New Zealand to promote intoxication and/or to allow intoxicated persons on the premise. Therefore all staff have been informed to follow the below policy: To detect early signs of intoxication and encourage persons to consume water and food To inform the host of the function of such intoxicated persons To cease providing alcohol to such intoxicated persons To remove intoxicated persons from the premise
