Our preparations for the coming of our Savior are almost complet- ed. I would like to thank all who have participated in our Advent activities, music concerts, Christmas caroling on the steps, decorating, Breakfast with Santa, Advent Penance Service, the Novena of Masses, and other events, as I pray that all of these activities have been spiritually edifying this Advent Season. As the days draw closer to Christmas, I like to meditate upon the night in which Jesus was born and to think about those who gathered at the stable to see the baby Jesus. I wonder what it must have been like to have been there and to be one of those special individuals who were able to see the newly born Jesus. What was going through the minds of the shep- herds as they watched this little baby in the manger? Were they given the opportunity to hold the baby Jesus in their arms for a few moments? Were they able to see the Son of God behind the eyes of the baby? Could they imagine the hope and the goodness that this child would bring into the world? Life brings with it all kinds of possibilities. The future and the world feel the impact of the birth and the life of every child. The world has never been the same since the Light of the World, Jesus Christ, came into our world and into the darkness. May the child Jesus come into our hearts, into our lives and bring light in the midst of our darkness and may we experience the great joy and love and healing that he wants to bring to us. Fr. Wright and I pray that you may have a wonderful and blessed Christmas! Be safe in your travels and be joyful in the love that you share this Christmas! Fr.
