THE ANGUS COUNCIL (SPEED LIMITS AT BOWRIEFAULD, MUIRHEAD AND ) (VARIATION) ORDER 201X

Angus Council hereby proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purposes of:-

(1) amending the speed limit from 60MPH to 40MPH at A923 Coupar Angus Road Muirhead from a point 325 metres or thereby west of its junction with Road (B954) westwards for a distance of 200 metres or thereby.

(2) amending the speed limit from 60MPH to 30MPH at the following location:-  - Hillend Road Bowriefauld from a point 30 metres or thereby northwest of its junction with Dundee Street Letham southeastwards for a distance of 90 metres or thereby;  East Hill Road Kirriemuir from a point 430 metres or thereby south of its junction with Shielhill Road southwards and eastwards for a distance of 270 metres or thereby;  West Hill Road Kirriemuir from a point 220 metres or thereby east of its junction with Shielhill Road eastwards to its junction with East Hill Road.

(3) amending the speed limit from 60MPH to 20MPH at Cemetery Road North Kirriemuir from its junction with West Hill Road generally southwards to the entrance to the Recreation Ground car park.

(4) amending the speed limit from 40MPH to 30MPH at the following location:-  Road Kirriemuir from a point 40 metres or thereby southwest of its junction with Woodend Drive southwards to its junction with Lochmill;  Slade Road Kirriemuir from a point 205 metres or thereby northwest of its junction with Lindsay Street northwestwards and northwards to its junction with Lochmill.

(5) promoting traffic safety and free traffic flow.

Any person may, within 21 days from 23 February 2018, object to the proposed Order by notice in writing to Head of Technical & Property Services, Angus Council, Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar DD8 1AN or by email to [email protected]. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate, and the grounds on which they are made.
