VICE’s award-winning nightly newscast is the most-nominated show for a third consecutive year

BROOKLY, NY (AUGUST 6) – Today, it was announced by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences that VICE News has been nominated for 18 News & Documentary Emmy® Awards. VICE Media Group’s nightly newscast VICE News Tonight leads all programming as the most-nominated news show and the most-nominated nightly news show for the third consecutive year.
VICE News Tonight was nominated across 10 categories including: Best Story in a Newscast, Outstanding Investigative Report in a Newscast, Continuing Coverage of a News Story in a Newscast, Outstanding Video Journalism and Outstanding Arts, Culture, or Entertainment Report.

The nominations come a week after VICE, VICE Media Group’s weekly docuseries with Showtime, received a 2020 Primetime Emmy® nomination for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special. Showtime has renewed the series for a second season.
