Hosi Simon appointed as Executive Managing Director, International Tamara Howe to lead TV EMEA business as Managing Director CJ Fahey will move into a new role as SVP International for VICE Studios

TUESDAY 11 JUNE, 2019 - London -- today announces a new leadership structure ​ ​ across its international team with new, enhanced roles and promotions for several key executives.

Hosi Simon has been appointed as VICE’s Executive Managing Director. Simon will be responsible for overseeing all operational and business activity in APAC, EMEA & LATAM across VICE’s five lines of business – Studios, Television, Digital, News and VIRTUE.

Simon has been with the organization for 13 years in multiple roles, most recently as CEO of VICE Asia Pacific where the region has quickly expanded with key partnerships. Under his leadership, VICE APAC recently announced a content partnership with Chinese streaming service Tencent, as well as its first series commission in Japan with Amazon Prime Video. In his new role as Executive Managing Director, Simon will report to Dominique Delport, Chief Revenue Officer & President, International and oversee the continued growth trajectory of the global VICE business where 50% of revenue and audience originates.

As the global VICE Studios expands, CJ Fahey will move into a new role as SVP International for ​ VICE Studios, working on the global strategy for the business reporting into Danny Gabai, Head of ​ Vice Studios U.S. Fahey will also be responsible for the management and growth of the international Studios business in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. Recently, VICE Studios launched a string of recent hits in the UK, including BBC Two’s 'The Brexit Storm: Laura Kuenssberg's Inside Story' and Channel 5's 'The Murder Of Charlene Downes.’ ​

Tamara Howe will oversee our VICELAND business across EMEA as Managing Director, reporting into Guy Slattery, General Manager VICELAND U.S. Tamara will also continue to oversee Production Operations for the EMEA region. Howe was formerly leading the charge as Chief Content Officer, EMEA. VICELAND recently achieved full distribution across the UK.

Biographies:

Hosi Simon - In his previous role as CEO VICE Asia-Pacific, he oversees all growth, strategy, and ​ operations across the existing and future territories for all parts of VICE Media’s quickly expanding business in APAC. Previously as Global General Manager, at VICE’s Global HQ, Simon oversaw the strategy, growth and operations of VICE Digital globally, which includes VICE Media’s suite of owned and operated channels, publishing partnerships, as well as mobile and OTT platforms. Under Simon's guidance, VICE has expanded and diversified to include a growing network of digital channels, a television and feature film production studio, a magazine, in-house creative services agencies, and an international television network, VICELAND.

Tamara Howe - Tamara Howe was VICE EMEA Chief Content Officer - most recently moving to Managing Director for VICELAND EMEA. As CCO Tamara was charged with leading VICE’s content strategy across the EMEA region which includes the newly created UK-based Studios division as well as the company’s diverse range of digital content that is produced and distributed in the UK and across Europe. Before joining VICE, Tamara held a number of senior roles at the BBC including Controller of Business - Comedy and Entertainment, Controller of Production Operations and Chief Operating Officer for BBC Children’s. Tamara has also worked at Granada Television and London Weekend Television.

CJ Fahey - SVP Studios International, will continue to work on the global strategy for VICE Studios ​ ​ business, in close partnership with Danny Gabai, Head of Vice Studios U.S; responsible for ​ management and growth of international businesses in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. Prior to this, as ​ General Manager for VICE TV and Studios, EMEA, CJ was responsible for the creative and strategic development of VICE Media’s international channels and production businesses across the region. In his role, CJ oversaw all TV output across linear, mobile and multi-platform offerings in EMEA.Previously CJ was General Manager of VICELAND (now VICE TV) across EMEA and APAC, ​ charged with launching and growing the company’s international channels operations across multiple territories. Having joined VICE in 2014, CJ was integral to the launch of VICELAND in the US, working alongside on the development and production of the channel's award-winning content slate. Prior to VICE, CJ was at , where he worked in corporate strategy and business development. Prior to that he was at Fox International Channels and National Geographic Channels in Rome, Italy, with a focus on programming and international channel launches.
