Chris Sampson is in his second year as drum major for the Marching Owls. As a music education major, Chris is gaining experience and knowledge that will directly benefit him as a future educator. As he finishes his junior year, he looks back on what it means to be a Marching Owl. “I was a member of my high school marching band for all four years, and having been told so much about the Marching Owls from my staff at high school, it seemed like a great opportunity. In my first year, it helped create the social connections with people I may have never met otherwise. Additionally, it has allowed me to serve my university in ways I never could as a regular student. I feel so lucky to be a part of this amazing team of talented people.” “Marching band is a fantastic opportunity to support your school and make friends that will be with you, through and after college.” Florida Atlantic University Marching Owls .
