You have requested: ‘For at least the divisions within Cambridge City, details of the calculations by which these estimates were produced.’ The Commission does hold the information relevant to your request. As part of an electoral review, the Commission requires, as prescribed in the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009, the provision of a set of electorate forecasts covering five years from the scheduled publication of its final recommendations. In the case of Cambridgeshire, the County Council provided the Commission with information on the electorate in 2014 and, because the Commission is scheduled to publish final recommendations for Cambridgeshire later this year, the forecast electorate for 2020. The County Council provided this data broken down to polling district level. The Commission used this data in formulating its draft recommendations. The data provided by Cambridgeshire County Council was published on our website at the beginning of the consultation on division arrangements, and was for interested parties to use in generating division patterns. Agricultural Barn Location: Langley Park Farm, Langley Lower Green, Langley CB11 4SB I have been made aware of the proposal to erect a new barn at Langley Park Farm and whilst I have every respect for the necessity of farmers to manage their business, it has been suggested locally that this barn is primarily a storage hub and is grossly disproportionate in size to the land actually owned. There is no information on the application in respect of traffic movements, traffic management or designated routes for vehicles visiting or leaving the location. It is also my understanding that an additional large barn, with planning permission, is already under construction on land adjoining the proposed barn at Langley Park Farm, which will also have high volumes of HGV traffic, particularly during harvest time. The application makes no suggestion of constructing a new access at the junction with Park Lane to accommodate the turning area of large articulated vehicles, by experience, some with trailers. Clearly, the highway at this junction has restricted turning capacity and is not currently constructed in a way to support the aggressive friction between the vehicle tyres and the road. No vehicle tracking has been shown for vehicles entering or exiting the farm. Page 1 of 10 Should the vehicles visiting or leaving Langley Park Farm choose to turn north towards Little Chishill in Cambridgeshire they will need to navigate through very narrow lanes not designed to accommodate such sized vehicles.

    STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS 2002 No. 2984 LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ENGLAND The District of Huntingdonshire (Electoral Changes) Order 2002 Made ----- 2ndDecember 2002 Coming into force in accordance with article 1(2), (3) and (4) Whereas the Boundary Committee for England(a), acting pursuant to section 15(4) of the Local Government Act 1992(b), has submitted to the Electoral Commission(c) a report dated April 2002 on its review of the district of Huntingdonshire together with its recommendations: And whereas the Electoral Commission have decided to give eVect to those recommendations: And whereas a period of not less than six weeks has expired since the receipt of those recommendations: Now, therefore, the Electoral Commission, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 17(d) and 26(e) of the Local Government Act 1992, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order: Citation and commencement 1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the District of Huntingdonshire (Electoral Changes) Order 2002. (2) This order, with the exception of articles 5, 6, 8 and 9, shall come into force— (a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to any election to be held on 6th May 2004, on 15th October 2003; (b) for all other purposes, on 6th May 2004. (3) Articles 5 and 9 shall come into force— (a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of a parish councillor for the parishes of Houghton and Wyton, and The Stukeleys to be held on 4th May 2006, on 15th October 2005; (b) for all other purposes, on 4th May 2006.

    REVIEW OF SECONDARY SCHOOL PROVISION IN THE FENLAND DISTRICT PROPOSAL FOR A NEW SECONDARY SCHOOL IN WISBECH BACKGROUND CONSULTATION DOCUMENT 1 PURPOSE The purpose of this document is to: • Draw attention to the rising number of primary aged pupils across Fenland, the impact of proposed new housing and the resultant pressure to provide additional places in secondary schools in the District. • Outline the conclusions of the Council’s review of secondary school provision in Fenland and its recommendations in respect of each of the four market towns within the District; Wisbech, Chatteris, March and Whittlesey. • Seek, in principle support for the proposal to provide a new secondary school in Wisbech in response to the forecast demand for places and expand provision in March, Chatteris and Whittlesey when required. • Obtain the views of parents and the local community on the Council’s early site search work, which identified the site of the former College of West Anglia (CWA) horticultural and equine facility adjacent to Meadowgate School, as having the potential to be developed for a secondary school (location plan included). OR • For respondents to identify and consider whether there are any alternative sites within Wisbech that may provide a better site for a secondary school and which the Council should consider 1 2. BACKGROUND Demography There are four secondary schools in Fenland: Neale-Wade Academy (March), Thomas Clarkson Academy (Wisbech), Sir Harry Smith Community College (Whittlesey) and Cromwell Community College (Chatteris). There is a distance of between 6-13 miles separating each school (measured in a straight line). A review of secondary school provision in Fenland was undertaken in response to: • demographic change (the population of the District has grown by 13.9% to 95,300 since 2001) • rising pupil numbers in the primary schools and • the proposed levels of housing development (11,000 homes across the District in the period up to 2031) included in the Fenland District Local Plan (2014).
