SEVEN UNVEILS CONTENT PLANS FOR 2019 Slate includes new Bevan Lee drama and two supersized reality hits Geraldine Hakewill, Joel Jackson and Catherine McClements headline Miss Fisher spin-off MKR’s 10th anniversary season to launch the year “Top Gear meets food” in new Gordon Ramsay series New overseas dramas feature screen heavyweights Martin Clunes, Sheridan Smith, Kelsey Grammer and more (Sydney, Friday October 26): The Seven Network today unveiled its content plans for 2019. Four new local dramas, including the next offering from creator Bevan Lee; two supersized reality hits; a female spinoff to one of the year’s most heart-warming hits and the landmark 10th season of one of Australia’s biggest shows are just some of the programs set to take Seven into its 13th consecutive year of leadership. Commenting, Seven’s Director of Network Programming Angus Ross said: “After a close win last year, we promised to up our game in 2018, and the team has delivered in spades. We’ve broken records and dominated the ratings throughout the year. In fact, in every month we have never dropped below a 39% share, while our competitors have never been above 39%. Our worst is still better than their best. “What’s particularly pleasing is that this success is down to the strength and depth of our programming across the board. From 6am to midnight, we have the strongest spine of ratings winners, bar none. MEDIA RELEASE: 9:00pm WEDNESDAY 5 JUNE 2019 THE 66TH SYDNEY FILM FESTIVAL BEGINS The 66th Sydney Film Festival (5 – 16 June) opened tonight at the State Theatre with the World Premiere of Australian drama/comedy Palm Beach. Festival Director Nashen Moodley was pleased to open his eighth Festival to a packed auditorium including Palm Beach director Rachel Ward and producers Bryan Brown and Deborah Balderstone, alongside cast members Aaron Jefferies, Jacqueline McKenzie, Heather Mitchell, Sam Neill, Greta Scacchi, Claire van der Boom, and Frances Berry. Following an announcement of increased NSW Government funding by the Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Minister for the Arts Don Harwin commented, “Launching with Palm Beach is the perfect salute to great Australian filmmaking in a year that will showcase a bumper list of contemporary Australian stories, including 24 World Premieres.” “As one of the world’s longest-running film festivals, I’m delighted to build on our support for the Festival and Travelling Film Festival over the next four years with increased funding of over $5 million, and look forward to the exciting plans in store,” he said. Sydney Film Festival Board Chair, Deanne Weir said, “The Sydney Film Festival Board are thrilled and grateful to the New South Wales Government for this renewed and increased support. FOXTEL programming in 2015 GOGGLEBOX Season 1 The LifeStyle Channel Based on the U.K. smash hit, Gogglebox is a weekly observational series which captures the reactions of ordinary Australians as they watch the nightly news, argue over politics, cheer their favourite sporting teams and digest current affairs and documentaries. Twelve households will be chosen and then rigged with special, locked off cameras to capture every unpredictable moment. Gogglebox is like nothing else ever seen on Australian television and it’s set to hook audiences in a fun and entertaining way. The series has been commissioned jointly by Foxtel and Network Ten and will air first on The LifeStyle Channel followed by Channel Ten. DEADLINE GALLIPOLI Season 1 showcase Deadline Gallipoli explores the origin of the Gallipoli legend from the point of view of war correspondents Charles Bean, Ellis Ashmead-Bartlett, Phillip Schuler and Keith Murdoch, who lived through the campaign and bore witness to the extraordinary events that unfolded on the shores of Gallipoli in 1915. This compelling four hour miniseries captures the heartache and futility of war as seen through the eyes of the journalists who reported it. Joel Jackson stars as Bean, Hugh Dancy as Bartlett, Ewen Leslie as Murdoch, and Sam Worthington as Schuler. Charles Dance plays Hamilton, the Commander of the Gallipoli campaign, Bryan Brown plays General Bridges and John Bell plays Lord Kitchener. Deadline Gallipoli will be broadcast to coincide with the World War I Centenary commemorations. THE KETTERING INCIDENT Season 1 showcase Elizabeth Debicki, Matt Le Nevez, Anthony Phelan, Henry Nixon and Sacha Horler star in The Kettering Incident drama series. -

SUBURBAN MAYHEM, supported by the FTO with development and production investment and a Regional Filming Fund grant, won major three awards - Best Actress (Emily Barclay), Best Music (Mick Harvey, Norman Parkhill) and Best Editing (Stephen Evans). SUBURBAN MAYHEM was filmed entirely on location in New South Wales, in and around the regional centre of Newcastle. Inaugural Samsung AACTA Awards Attracts Star Power to Present
Media Release for immediate release: Thursday 19th January, 2012 INAUGURAL SAMSUNG AACTA AWARDS CEREMONY ATTRACTS STAR POWER TO PRESENT Australia’s most highly acclaimed acting and entertainment celebrities are confirmed to attend the inaugural Samsung AACTA Awards Ceremony on January 31st at the iconic Sydney Opera House, to present the awards recognising our finest achievements in acting, directing, producing and screenwriting across film and television in 2011. Leading the star-studded array of presenters is AACTA President (or Prez as he prefers) Geoffrey Rush and such international luminaries as Cate Blanchett, Jonathon and Anthony LaPaglia and Rachael Taylor. Local favourites joining them will include Xavier Samuel, Rob Carlton, Lincoln Lewis, Alex Dimitriades, Todd Lasance, Shane Bourne, Gigi Edgley, Blake Davis, Richard Wilkins, Callan McAuliffe, Judy Morris, Samara Weaving and Adam Elliot. The event will be held at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall and broadcast that night on the Nine Network. Audiences will be regaled with Australia’s own sweet heart Olivia Newton-John as she takes to the stage to perform for the first time a medley from the soundtrack of her new film A Few Best Men. She will bring her special touch to the classic 1960s track ‘Daydream Believer’ made famous by the Monkeys, and her brand new song ‘Weightless’, for which she revisited her award-winning partnership with songwriter and producer John Farrar, who created such timeless classics as 'You're the One That I Want', 'Hopelessly Devoted to You' and 'Magic' amongst many. The opening of the AACTA Awards Ceremony and Olivia Newton-John's performance will be choreographed by Australia's very own Broadway Choreographer and Director Jason Gilkison. -
