Posle dobrih 2 minuta kreće rasturajuća gitara ogromnim brzinama i čuje se i vokal, koji me oduševljava, sumnjao sam malo u njega na početku, jer jelda zna da je nov lik u bendu, a ko još nije čuo, Allegaeon je zamenio pevača, i od 2015-e godine peva Riley McShane, više poznat iz sastava Continuum-a i Son Of Aurelius-a. Vokali su mu odgovarajuće duboki, savršeno se potapaju u zvuku koji Allegaeon može da pruži. Prvo iskustvo s novim vokalom što smo mogli čuti je bio osmominutni single, koji je isto ove godine izašao, a dobio je ime: Gray Matter Mechanics- Appasionata Ex Machinea. Naime, Proponent Of Sentience je četvrti studijski full length album ovog naučno-obsesivnog Colorado tehnikalno-melodičnog det metal sastava. Bliskih 8 godina na sceni, Allegaeon je uspeo da dokaže kako dobro ide kombinacija ova 2 žanra, i da kroz albume on svaki put sve više i više evoluira. Dakle, sama evolucija nikad ne prestaje, i time bih mogao da zaključim da je Proponent For Sentience njihov vrh karijere(dosad). Kao što sam rekao, jer ne možemo nikad da znamo šta će budućnost da nam donese...ali zato mogu da budem uzbuđen. Allegaeon kao bend ima sjajnu budućnot, i vrlo rado ću da ih pratim u svemu što urade. 3 Giraffe Tongue Orchestra: Broken Lines (Originalno napisano za „Headbang“ blog) Wow. Debi album s kojim ću vas upoznati je vrlo bizaran, eksperimentalan, produkt nove supergrupe koja sadrži članove Alice In Chains-a, Mastodon-a i The Dillinger Escape Plan-a. Broken Lines, prvi album sastava Giraffe Tongue Orchestra je album od 10 pesama istinskog i kreativnog hevi i progresivnog metala. Što se tiče navedenih projekata od kojih se sastav sastoji, ne očekujte ništa slično tome, jer je bend koncentrisan na sasvim originalan, nesvakidašnji zvuk ovog žanra. Pesme kao Blood Moon i Crucifixion su dobile zvanične videe pre izlaska albuma. Supergrupa može mnogo da znači, ponekad su iste napravljene čisto da se nešto napravi pod znacima navoda i eto, da se dobije jedan lepo prodavan album. Kod benda Giraffe Tongue Orchestra uopšte nije tako, ovi nama dobro poznati majstori su skupili sve svoje ideje i izdali jedan super album u ovoj godini. 10/10 4 Macabra - ...To the Bone (Originalno napisano za „Metal Jacket Magazine“) Macabra je jedan internacionalan projekat, kolaboracija, tj. saradnja između dobro nam poznatog Mark Riddick-a, dobro poznatog horror umetnika i ilustratora u underground metal sceni, takođe poznat iz projekata kao Fetid Zombie, Grave Wax, Unburied, i još mnogih, ja njega smatram kao jednog od najbolesnijih ilustratora ovog žanra. Mark je odradio sve instrumente na ovom albumu, kao i na celoj diskografiji benda, a naravno vokale je radio ništa manje bitniji Adrien Weber, nadimka Lord Genocide, poznat iz Vociferian benda i još mnogih, manjih projekata. Adrien je iz Francuske, dok je Mark iz SAD-a, ali to ih nije zaustavilo da oformiraju bolestan death metal projekat, maksimalno fokusiran na staru školu, koja je neka bolesna mešavina Američkog i Evropskog death metala, negde između. Kreirajući teške, ali ipak krajnje tehnikalne rifove za ovaj žanr, s mnoštvo melodija, i sve to odrađeno u fori 8 prebolesnih pesama, posle kojih kad ih poslušati, osećaćete se prljavim u duši. To The Bone album, drugi s punom dužinom, je vrlo teško za slušati online, može se naći jedna pesma, koju ću vam linkovati, ali kako bi čuli celu stvar, morate imati fizički format, ili kasetu ili disk, koje su, inače prebolesno odrađene, i uz nju ide jedan vanredni buklet tj. knjižica puna radova Marka. Prava poslastica za ljubitelje odvratnog prljavog horora u stilu death metala. 5 Neurosis: Fires Within Fires (Originalno napisano za „Metal Jacket Magazine“) Bivajući jedan od onih bendova za koje ste uvek uzbuđeni kad će li više izbaciti nešto novo, i ako izbace, šta li će to biti? Sa svojom 31-o godišnjanom karijerom Neurosis je pokazao da ako se pokupi dostojan tim ljudi, kreiranje muzike će trajati i par decenija. Sve od ranih stadijuma hardkor pank-a, kroz progresivne, post, ambient, sludge metal žanrove, Neurosis je sa svojih 11 studio albuma s punom dužinom pokazao moć u muzici, pokazao da muzika često, ako ne i svaki put, više govori od reči. Najnoviji album benda, Fires Within Fires, koji je izdat za Neurot Recordings je naslednik 2012-og albuma Honor Found In Decay. Album ima 5 pesama, ali nikako kratkih! Svaka pesma traje duže od 6 minuta, a poslednja, Reach, je čak 10:36. Album počinje laganom atmosferom, samo kako bi ta tišina bila bukvalno slomljena sa strana brutalnih, masnih, post i sludge rifova, a vokala pogotovo, koji su onaj tipičan, southern stajl vokala. Svaka pesma ima nešto drugačije da kaže, ali ako volite Neurosis, to vas ne bi trebalo da iznenadi, i toliko ću samo reći da ako ste fan benda, i čitate recenzije da se uverite, valja li album, da, jebeno valja. Ubija! Kakav drugi dokaz vam treba sem ovoga? Slušajte! 6 Wizards of Gore: Tales of PartyPornoGoreGrind (Originalno napisano za „Princip“ fanzin) Veoma spori, žestoko sladžirani, brutal death, tj. SLAM rifovi, odvratno prljavi i nejasni pig squeal-ovi, otežavajući momenti. Sirovi intro snimci s vremena na vreme, bukvalno sve, i muzika, i lirikala, i mot, logo, ime, sve je koncentrisano na humorističnu stranu društva. Mislim, jasno je čim vidite omot. Isti sadrži pun kurac dildosa, fekalija, rasturenih pičoka, posranih i uništenih zidova,i još mnogih, skrivenih detalja, od kojih mi je absolutni favorit parodija St. Anger albuma snimljenog sa strane benda Metallica. Priznajem, kad sam to video, crkao sam od smeha! Pesme tek ni da ne pominjem! Numere kao GRINDING THE GRANNY, ili Sun Rose Over The Asshole, su prosto prebolesne. Wizards Of Gore, bend, Hrvatskog porekla, su izdali svoj debi album 2. Septembra ove godine za Srpsku izdavačku kuću Miner Recordings, a pre objavljivanja istog su izdali kratak, dvopesmeni EP nazvan Ashes To Ashes, Ass To Mouth, s dve kratke pesme koje su se kasnije našle i na albumu s punom dužinom. Album sadrži 12 kratkih, ali jasnih numera pune ubijanja, nasilja, smrada, smeća i smeha. Ako volite Gore- Grind, Grind-Core, ili Noise(core), ovaj album je namenjen da bude na vašem repertoaru, ali iskreno. Takođe, album je samo 2 evra na zvaničnom Bandcamp profilu benda, totalno se isplati dati takve pare za ovakvu albumčinu. Ako volite bendove kao Party Cannon, Analepsy ili Slamophiliac, ovo je za vas! STEJ SIK! 7 The Dillinger Escape Plan: Dissociation (Originalno za Metal Jacket Magazine) Došao je i taj datum. Datum poslednjeg The Dillinger Escape Plan albuma, nazvanog Dissociation, koji je izašao 14, a negde 15-og Oktobra radi vremenskih zona. Izdat ovaj put kao realno poslednji album, na šta i nisam baš ponosan, mislim na činjenicu da je ovo poslednji. Dillinger je za punih 20 godina postojanja mnogo postigao kao bend, i dobro je poznat kao jedan od najpoštovanijih sastava u ovom žanru. Kao tužan i dramatičan opraštaj, Dissociation sadrži sve što bi se moglo ukratko ispričati, tačnije kakve su sve žanrove oni kroz godine imali i menjali, tj. kakve su eksperimentacije radili kroz sve te silne godine. Album je produkcijski savršen, ne može biti bolji, i na istom imamo priliku čuti mekše ali pritom i žešće strane benda, baš kao što na pojedinim dosadašnjim albumima, no Dissociation ovaj put sadrži jednu savršenu i polovnu kombinaciju svega toga. Žestok je, disonantan, eksperimentalan mathcore, a po neke pesme su malo lagane, s razumljivim, ne toliko grubim vokalima, i više čišćim i laganim melodijama. Skidam kapu ovom albumu, maksimalno uživam u njemu, ali sam i tužan što neću više čuti ništa od ovog predobrog benda. Ako niste upoznati bendom, definitivno ga proverite ako ste željni eksperimentalnog mathcore-a, ne toliko svakidašnjeg. Iako, da budemo realni, Dillinger se nikom ne treba predstavljati, ali za izuzetke ga preporučujem ako volite: Red Fang, Hatebreed, Between The Buried And Me, i Car Bomb! Proverite pod obavezno celu diskografiju, dosta stvari se tu sakriva. 8 Abigail Williams: Becoming (Pisao Osore Misanthrope) Post-blеk metal kao podžanr bez definisane (i definitivne) forme ovde je prisutan u vidu svojevrsne varijacije koja nas (poput dobro napisanog putopisa) strmoglavo i vrtoglavo prenosi sa žestokih visina dopadljivog kreštanja pravo u klance sugestivne rike, uspevajući da nam pokaže sve melodijske znamenitosti, neretko klonule i refleksivne. Ova nepredvidiva i dinamična vožnja, usklađena sa ritmom i prirodnim tonovima bubnjeva, usmerava nas ka kompozicijskim raznovrsnostima neumornih trzača koji pronalaze gudačke suvenire i ne prestaju da nas zadivljuju estetskom ugodnošću neizbežnih užasa. 9 Unfathomable Ruination: Finitude (Pisao Erwin Magiełda) Nekom se definitivno post traumatski stresni poremećaj aktivirao kad je čuo ovaj premoćan album. Taj osećaj kada rifovi evoluiraju iz svojih osnovnih formi je neopisiv. Omot albuma je nasilan i kosto lomući, koji se dobro uklapa sa bendom. Finitude je ogroman nastavak njihovog prošlog albuma Misshapen Conteginal Entropy, koji je bio njihov debi, i takođe jedan tehnikalan, brutalan derač faca. Preporučio bih bend fanovima sastava kao što su: Ripping Flesh, Repulsive Dissection i Precognitive Holocaust Annotations.

    Notes From The Underground: A Cultural, Political, and Aesthetic Mapping of Underground Music. Date:…………………………………………………….. 2 Abstract The term ‗underground music‘, in my account, connects various forms of music-making that exist largely outside ‗mainstream‘ cultural discourse, such as Drone Metal, Free Improvisation, Power Electronics, and DIY Noise, amongst others. Its connotations of concealment and obscurity indicate what I argue to be the music‘s central tenets of cultural reclusion, political independence, and aesthetic experiment. In response to a lack of scholarly discussion of this music, my thesis provides a cultural, political, and aesthetic mapping of the underground, whose existence as a coherent entity is being both argued for and ‗mapped‘ here. Outlining the historical context, but focusing on the underground in the digital age, I use a wide range of interdisciplinary research methodologies , including primary interviews, musical analysis, and a critical engagement with various pertinent theoretical sources. In my account, the underground emerges as a marginal, ‗antermediated‘ cultural ‗scene‘ based both on the web and in large urban centres, the latter of whose concentration of resources facilitates the growth of various localised underground scenes. I explore the radical anti-capitalist politics of many underground figures, whilst also examining their financial ties to big business and the state(s). This contradiction is critically explored, with three conclusions being drawn. First, the underground is shown in Part II to be so marginal as to escape, in effect, post- Fordist capitalist subsumption.

    Neurosis – Fires Within Fires (40:54, CD, Eigenveröffentlichung/Cargo, 2016) Mit seinen 40 Minuten ist das neue Neurosis-Machwerk um einiges kürzer als die brachialen Vorgänger „Given To The Rising“ und „Honour Found In Decay“. Vielleicht sind ja Scott Kelly & Co. zur gleichen Feststellung gekommen, wie die sich hier zu Lande ebenfalls in schweren Doom-Bereichen herummanövrierenden Black Shape Of Nexxus, die nach ihrem überlangen Opus Magnum „Negative Black“ zur Einsicht kamen, dass bei dieser Art von Musik spätestens nach 50 Minuten die Konzentration des Hörers nachlässt und die letzten Tracks eher nur noch nebenbei wahrgenommen werden. Insofern ist auch „Fires Within Fires“ in einem Rutsch zu verkraften. Man weiß, worauf man sich bei einer Band wie Neurosis einlässt, deswegen gilt auch hier – erwarte das zu Erwartende. Er wütet auch hier wieder in seit mehr als dreißig Jahre lang bekannten Manier. Auch wenn sich die Band selbst schon hin und wieder relativ zurückhält. Sein Kumpel Steve von Till bekommt sogar die Gelegenheit für seinen selbstzerstörerischen Dunkelfolk, der mit ‚Broken Ground‘ das Dunkel nur noch eine Nuance dunkler dimmt. ‚Fire Is The End Lesson‘ ist der Headbanger des Albums – brachial, hypnotisch, ja, fast schon psychedelisch. Abschließend dann ‚Reach‘, mit dem Neurosis alles bisher Erreichte zu bündeln scheinen, um daraus eine eigene Blaupause zu fertigen.
