The 42nd Annual Pepperdine University Bible Lectureship April 16-19, 1985 On behalf of Pepperdine University, we are delighted to join in welcoming you to the 42nd Annual Bible Lectureship. This Lectureship is one of the significant ways in which the University maintains its relationship to the Churches of Christ. The distinctive mission of Pepperdine University calls for serving the church. We believe that one of our greatest opportunities for service is to bring together teachers of the highest ability and the finest preparation, and members of the church who are eager to increase their understanding of God's will. The fulfillment of this mission is the daily goal of the Department of Church Services as it plans various workshops and activities throughout the year for the church. We are indebted to Jerry Rushford, Alison Jolliff and Don Williams for their leadership in these activities. As we worship together, we hope the singing will lift our hearts, the lessons will instruct us, and the fellowship will draw us closer in Christian love and service.
