Vị trí địa lý: thành phố Bacolod: - Nằm trong trung tâm Philippines, 90 phút bay từ Manila, 30 phút bay đi Cebu, bên cạnh thành phố Iloilo với 2 giờ đi tàu. - Từ Bacolod đi Boracay gần hơn một nửa so với Cebu. - Giá vé máy bay dao động trong khoảng 150$ - 400 $, tương đương giá vé từ Việt Nam đi Cebu. - Thời tiết ôn hòa, không có thiên tai nhưbão lũ, động đất, sóng thần,… - Ngành kinh tế chính là mía đường nên hệ thống giao thông thuận lợi, đường thẳng, lớn. - Thiên về thành phố nghỉ dưỡng, yên bình, đa số là người dân địa phương, không phải là thành phố du lịch đông đúc và náo nhiệt như Cebu hay Clark. Chính vì vậy, người dân địa phương rất thân thiện, tạo cảm giác thoải mái để học tiếng Anh. Chương trình Anh ngữ trực thuộc trường Đại học San Agustin - một trong những trường Đại học tốt nhất Philippines: - Học viên LSLC có cơ hội trở thành sinh viên trao đổi quốc tế hoặc học chương trình Đại học chính thức bằng tiếng Anh tại Đại học San Agustin. - Khu học xá nằm trong khuôn viên trường Đại học, sinh viên LSLC được công nhận là sinh viên trường ĐH San Agustine và hưởng tất cả các cơ sở vật chất trong trường ĐH. - Ngoài 6 tiếng học tiếng Anh chính quy, học viên LSLC có thể tham gia dự thính chương trình đại học bằng tiếng Anh, miễn phí và không cần thi đầu vào. - Trung bình 2 tháng, trường tổ chức chương trình: Buddy Program để giao lưu kết bạn giữa học viên LSLC và sinh viên Đại học San Agustin là những người nói tiếng Anh rất bài bản và hòa đồng. Họ cùng nhau nấu ăn, thăm mô hình gia đình Philippines, chơi thể thao, học nhóm,… LSLC tổ chức chương trình dạy tiếng bản ngữ (dạy tiếng Hàn Quốc, Nhật Bản, Trung Quốc, Việt Nam) của học viên LSLC cho sinh viên Đại học. Hoạt động tình nguyện: trồng đước, thăm trại trẻ mồ côi để hiểu đời sống tầng lớp người khó khăn ở Philippines và tập luyện tiếng Anh liên tục. Học viên sẽ được cấp giấy chứng nhận của trường ĐH San Agustin đã hoạt động tình nguyện ở Philippines. “Aiming to teach English for Global Communication” Benigno S. Aquino Drive, Bacolod City 6100, Negros Occidental, Philippines 3. Chương trình của LSLC: - Quy mô: 250 học viên. - Trường có 22 năm kinh nghiệm hoạt động trong lĩnh vực đào tạo Anh ngữ. Chính vì vậy, hệ thống quản lý và hành chính đều rất chặt chẽ. - Trường có đầy đủ các khóa ESL, TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, Business. Mạnh nhất là khóa ESL, TOEIC, IELTS vì những lợi thế về trao đổi văn hóa như được chia sẻ ở trên. - Về thời gian học: 6 tiếng chính khóa (4 tiếng 1:1 + 2 tiếng nhóm 1:6), 2 tiếng dự thính Đại học nếu muốn, 2 tiếng học tự chọn từ 17:00 - 18:00 và 19:00 - 20:00 về TOEIC 4 kĩ năng, IELTS, Discussion, American Culture, CNN. Ngoài ra, giờ tự học từ 19:00 - 22:00 tại phòng tự học Ký túc xá, trường cung cấp giáo viên trực để giải đáp thắc mắc ngay lập tức cho học viên. Như vậy, từ 8:00 - 22:00 các ngày trong tuần, trường luôn cung cấp các lớp học cho học viên. - Giáo viên: Số giáo viên đang làm việc: 110 người. Tổng số giáo viên làm việc mùa cao điểm: 160 người. Học viên có quyền đổi giáo viên lớp 1:1 để chọn được giáo viên phù hợp với trình độ và tính cách. Các giáo viên full - time đều tốt nghiệp Đại học và có kinh nghiệm giảng dạy trung bình từ 2 - 13 năm. Mỗi giáo viên phải vượt qua 6 vòng kiểm tra để làm việc chính thức: nộp đơn - phỏng vấn - kiểm tra kĩ năng giảng dạy - training - đứng lớp thử - dạy chính thức. “Aiming to teach English for Global Communication” Benigno S. Môi trường sống: - Ký túc xá LSLC nằm ngay bên cạnh Đại học San Augustin, với 5 phút đi bộ, rất an toàn. - Ký túc xá phục vụ 250 học viên cùng thời điểm, mới xây dựng năm 2015 với đầy đủ tiện nghi.
