Daniel Anthony Hart, in conformità al canone 401 § 1 del Codice di Diritto Canonico. Il Papa ha nominato Vescovo di Norwich (U.S.A.) S.E. Mons. Michael Richard Cote, finora Vescovo titolare di Cebarades ed Ausiliare della diocesi di Portland. S.E. Mons. Michael Richard Cote S.E. Mons. Michael Richard Cote è nato a Sanford (Maine) il 19 giugno 1949. Ha frequentato la scuola primaria a Springvale e quelle secondarie al "Bathurst College" ad Arthust, New Brunswick (Canada) e all’ "Our Lady of Lourdes Seminary" di Cassadaga (New York). Dal 1967 al 1969 è stato alunno dell’ "Assumption College" di Worcester (Massachusetts). Ha seguito, poi, i corsi filosofici presso il "Saint Mary’s Seminary College" di Baltimore dal 1969 al 1971. Inviato al Pontificio Collegio Americano del Nord a Roma, dal 1971 al 1975 ha fatto gli studi teologici presso l’Università Gregoriana, dove ha conseguito la licenza in Teologia. In seguito ha ottenuto la licenza in Diritto Canonico presso "The Catholic University of America" in Washington, D.C. (1979- 1981). E’ stato ordinato sacerdote da Sua Santità Paolo VI a Roma il 29 giugno 1975 per la diocesi di Portland. Dopo l’ordinazione sacerdotale, ha svolto i seguenti incarichi: vice-parroco della "Saint Athanasius-Saint John Parish" a Rumford (1975-1978); vice-parroco della "Holy Rosary Parish" a Caribou (1978-1980); vice-officiale del Tribunale Diocesano (1981-1989) e, per un triennio, membro del Consiglio Pastorale Diocesano. E’ stato collaboratore locale della Nunziatura Apostolica a Washington, D.C. (1989-1994). Dal 1994 al 1995 è stato parroco della "Sacred Heart Parish" ad Auburn. Nominato Vescovo titolare di Cebarades ed Ausiliare di Portland (Maine) il 9 maggio 1995, è stato consacrato il 27 luglio successivo. Nel suo ufficio come Ausiliare per quasi nove anni, è stato anche Vicario Generale per la diocesi. [00371-01.01] ● NOMINA DELL’ARCIVESCOVO METROPOLITA DI BAHÍA BLANCA (ARGENTINA) Giovanni Paolo II ha nominato Arcivescovo Metropolita di Bahía Blanca (Argentina) S.E. Mons. Guillermo José Garlatti, finora Vescovo di San Rafael. S.E. Mons. Guillermo José Garlatti S.E. Mons. Guillermo José Garlatti, nato a Forgaria, arcidiocesi di Udine (Italia), il 12 luglio 1940, si è trasferito da piccolo con i genitori in Argentina. Ha seguito gli studi sacerdotali nel seminario di La Plata ed è stato ordinato sacerdote il 5 luglio 1964. Licenziato in Teologia presso la Facoltà di Teologia dell’Università Cattolica Argentina, ha studiato successivamente Sacra Scrittura a Gerusalemme, diplomandosi poi in esegesi biblica presso il Pontificio Istituto Biblico di Roma. Come sacerdote ha lavorato sempre in seminario: prima come prefetto di disciplina e professore nel seminario minore di La Plata, poi come prefetto e moderatore nel seminario maggiore e, dal 1987, come rettore del seminario maggiore e professore di Teologia e Sacra Scrittura. E’ stato anche assistente della Gioventù di Azione Cattolica. Eletto Vescovo titolare di Acque regie ed Ausiliare di La Plata il 27 agosto 1994, ha ricevuto la consacrazione episcopale il 30 novembre successivo.
