Wicker Park By: Stephany Lopez and Michelle Greaves Wicker Park is a confusing yet unbelievably captivating flick. It is a remake of a 1996 French film that was not popular. After about the first half-hour into the movie, not only are you unbelievably confused but oddly entranced. Then, what unfolds over the next two hours is the story of Matthew (played by Josh Hartnett) and Lisa (Diane Kruger)– how they met, how they abruptly broke up, and the strange mysteries and issues that are hidden in the past. Although giving the murder/thriller vibe, Wicker Park ultimately turns out to be a strangely romantic movie. It takes the viewer through twists and turns of the main character, Matthew’s life. It definitely is an okay movie, but give it your full attention. You may even need to watch it more than once to completely understand it. The flashbacks and the hectic characters add to the movies’ confusion and A scene from Wicker Park the weirdness of it all. Picture courtesy of MGM Pictures Although everything gets figured out, the viewer spends more than half of the 155-minute movie saying “What just happened?” The film is directed by Paul McGuigan, who also directed The Reckoning (2004) and The Acid House (1999). It was released on video last December and is rated PG-13. My advice is definitely to watch this when you’re fully awake and in no hurry. 5 Box Seats Ruby Tuesdays: Not Only a Great Song Cheesecake Factory By: Allyson Nicastro By: Kaytie Keane By: Colleen Whalen Box Seats is a restaurant in North Attleboro If you would like to go to a great restaurant, on Route 1 at 500 East Washington Street near Ocean then Ruby Tuesdays is the place for you.
