NYBC...... an orthodox Jewish choir, to perform in front of the world, and to be viewed by millions of people live, on many consecutive AGT shows, and over a period of a year’s time. When I called the phone number, I realized it wasn’t a joke. Carter Palmer, the recruiter for AGT was dead serious. She saw us online and wanted us, a frum orthodox choir, to join AGT, and inspire the world.....There was one catch...we needed to perform clean cut secular songs like (you fill in the blank)! I said, “Carter, we are an Orthodox Jewish choir. I don’t see the parents, or the schools that they are coming from, going for the idea of their children singing secular songs, on live T.V. and the web.
