120-kV Grand-Brûlé – Saint-Sauveur Supply Line

GENERAL INFORMATION • Summer 2012

Municipality of Saint-Sauveur

Hydro-Québec must increase the transit and transformer capacity of certain substations that currently supply the heart of the Laurentides region to better meet the increase in electricity demand.

Many 120-kV substations can no longer handle the load. The same is true of some 120-kV transmission lines in the area; their capacity will be exceeded in the short term.

Hydro-Québec Équipement et services partagés will conduct the draft-design studies to build a new 120-kV line in the Laurentides area.
