Formula Kart Stars Kicks Off 2011 in Style January 20 th 2011. For Immediate Release. Formula Kart Stars kicks off 2011 in style. • Championship presentation at Autosport International • Raft of new prizes announced Formula Kart Stars started 2011 with a bang at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham last weekend (Jan 13-16) as the Formula One Management backed series hosted its 2010 Championship Awards on the karting stage. 2010 Champions Nathan Aston (MSA Cadet), George Russell (Mini Max), Ash Hand (Junior Max) and Ben Barnicoat (KF3) received their championship trophies and TAG Heuer watches as well as the other prizes they earned last year on Saturday afternoon. But the prize giving was just the tip of the iceberg as a vast array of famous names and karts appeared on the FKS stand during the four days with the championship also announcing some of the new developments for 2011. A deal to run the CIK approved Alfano Alspy data logger in the Mini Max, Junior Rotax and KF3 classes was confirmed on Thursday with Izone Driver Performance and Powerboat P1 announcing new prizes for 2011 on Friday. On Saturday, in addition to awarding no less than eleven TAG Heuer watches to competitors, the company that is celebrating its 150 th Birthday in 2011 confirmed that it would be continuing its relationship with the series, as did official fuel supplier One Fuel by Shell Racing, who also announced the introduction of the Shell Trophy this year. Class sponsors martin Plowman (MSA Cadet), Lewis Hamilton (Mini Max), Bradley Ellis (Junior Rotax) and Luke Hines (KF3) will continue to provide awards at all 12 of this years rounds while additional prizes are set to be announced before the 2011 FKS Championship starts at Rowrah on April 23-24. Formula Kart Stars are also offering a tyre draw in 2011 where one driver in each class at every round will be selected at random to receive a free set of slick tyres. Motorsport greats John Surtees and Barrie ‘Whizzo’ Williams both took to the stage during the Show, as did Allan McNish, David Brabham, Anthony Davidson and BBC TV’s Jake Humphrey. Among the karts on display on the FKS stand were examples driven by Lewis Hamilton, the late Ayrton Senna and fellow ex-Grand Prix drivers David Coulthard, Johnny Herbert and Sir Stirling Moss. A small number of grid places are still available in Cadet and Junior Rotax with places also remaining in KF3. Reserve entries are also still being taken in Mini Max in case there is room for a second grid. Entry forms are available on the Formula Kart Stars website www.formulakartstars.com Formula Kart Stars Snowball Farm Westbury Brackley Northamptonshire NN13 5JP United Kingdom www.formulakartstars.com [email protected] Tel: +44 7973 553179 Formula Kart Stars Ltd is a not-for-profit company registered in England and Wales 06908527 .

Hugues de Chaunac’s Editorial The upcoming 88th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, to be held in September and behind closed doors this year, is shaping up to be a special one for ORECA. Our teams and I are particularly proud to see 20 ORECA 07 chassis entered in the LMP2 class. This record makes us the most represented constructor on the starting grid of the most iconic endurance race in the world! Two Rebellion R-13 are expected in LMP1 as well. The Rebellion Racing team’s stunning victory and double podium finish at the first-ever 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual has inspired us to raise the bar even higher for the actual race. Since 2012, we have made available to TOYOTA GAZOO Racing the breadth of our experience and client services through operational support, and our mechanics and engineers.

The Williams racing livery will be officially unveiled at the Australian Grand Prix What Frank Williams doesn’t know about Formula One All in all 2007 was a bit of a scrappy year, with Webber and probably isn’t worth knowing. His team have won nine Coulthard finishing in the points only seven times between constructors’ and seven drivers’ championships and when them. The team’s best result was third for Webber at the they line up on the grid in Australia they will be starting their European Grand Prix, where Coulthard was fifth. I was hoping 30th season and 500th grand prix. I think Williams have for a really special Adrian Newey-designed car last season but suffered in recent years from the surge in manufacturer teams for whatever reason it didn’t perform as well as many had such as BMW, Renault, Honda and Toyota. I hope that Frank expected. Red Bull certainly are a solid midfield team but now does not sell to a faceless brand because F1 needs Williams. is the time to push themselves and begin to climb the success This season the car has been looking good throughout testing ladder. Coulthard doesn’t have many seasons left and if he and both their drivers are extremely competent behind the was going to be champion it would have happened already. wheel. I reckon business might be about to pick up. Give Webber a good team-mate and fame and fortune beckon. Nico Rosberg Kazuki Nakajima 2008 chances: Competitive enough to challenge BMW David Coulthard Mark Webber 2008 chances: Same as last year.

Episode 52– He’s Young, He’s Talented, He’s in the Wrong Team Coming Up Chris: Welcome to Sidepodcast, Episode 52 – He’s Young, He’s Talented, He’s in the Wrong Team. Coming up on today’s show, we discuss the bad week in Singapore, Super Aguri’s reasons for delaying their launch and we run down the 2008 entry list. Intro Me: So, how are you today? Chris: Awful. Me: Why? Chris: It’s been the worst week of my whole entire life. Me: Right, not overdramatic at all then. And what has happened this week to make you so unhappy? Chris: Everything has happened. My broadband died, my laptop’s dying, everything is just wrong. Me: Right, so it’s going to be a cheerful show then. Chris: Yep, upbeat and happy. Me: Wonderful. Good Week/Bad Week Chris: It’s been a good week for Ferrari as Trulli has declared them 2008 world champions already. Talking to Autosprint, he said: “The championship already looks over to me before it’s started. When you watch their performance on the track, your arms drop.” Me: So, do you agree with him, do you think it’s over already? Chris: No. Me: No, I think he’s fallen for their games. Chris: We’re trying to be optimistic, remember? It’s been a bad week for marshals at Jerez because they held up the start of Tuesday’s test. A worker was out on one of the corners, the cars piled up to head out on track, but the red light came on.
