MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER

THE CHURCH GATHERS

 Lent has come to a close, and we enter the Sacred Triduum.

 An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion brings forth the Oil of the Sick, which will be used throughout the year in the Sacrament of Anointing.

 One of the Elect brings forth the Oil of the Catechumens, which will be used to sign and strengthen those who journey to the living waters of Baptism.

 A Candidate for Confirmation brings forth the Sacred Chrism, which will be used at the Easter Vigil and throughout the year to seal with the Holy Spirit those who journey with us in faith.
