All of species were reported for the first time from Elazığ province in Turkey. Akın Temizer Department of Biology, Fırat Keywords: Elazığ, Fauna, Staphylininae, Turkey University, Elazığ, Turkey. 1. Introduction The Staphylinidae is most diverse family of the order Coleoptera, comprising about 60,000 species belonging to 33 subfamilies in all zoogeographical regions of the world [1]. According to Staphylinidae catalog of Herman (Newton AF, 2007) [2]; Staphylininae subfamily is a third largest subfamily which are 6642 species belonging to 282 species within the Staphylinidae family. According to Anlas (Anlaş S, 2009) [3] is located that 1600 staphylinid species in Turkey which depends on their 346 Staphylininae subfamily. Staphylininae fauna isn’t researched very well in Turkey. Also in Elazığ province, the records kept faunistically in terms of the individual species pertaining to this family are scarcely any. In studies in previous years Staphylinidae species have been reported 9 species in Tunceli, 3 species in Malatya provinces (Anlaş S, 2009) [3]. Additionally; in studies to determine the species of Gabrius genus Tunceli from Gabrius femoralis (Hochhuth, 1851) and Gabrius nigritulus (Gravenhorst, 1802), Gabrius nigritulus (Gravenhorst, 1802) from Elazığ, Gabrius ravasini (Gridelli, 1920) from Muş, while the Gabrius tokatensis (Smetana, 1977) species from Erzincan districts were obtained [4]. The aim of the present study is to determine the Staphylininae fauna of Elazığ province of Turkey in 2012 and 2014. 2. Material and Methods The rove beetles were collected in different fields in Elazığ by using shifter methods and eye control under the stone in 2012 and 2014. Classification and nomenclature of the subfamily Staphylininae suggested by Löbl & Smetana [5] have been followed in this study. Material identified by E. Khachikov, İ. Özgen and S. Anlaş and deposited in the private collection of the first author. 3. Summary: The present study evaluates the extent to which the livestock production subsidies extended to Agricultural Development Cooperatives, whose members were, by means of Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations, found to be in economic deprivation in rural areas, are implemented successfully in social and economic terms, and analyses the organisational structures of the cooperatives that benefit from the subsidies. The material of the study consists of the qualitative and quantitative data of eight agricultural development cooperatives with a total of 612 members that benefit from the livestock production subsidies under the Project for Social Support in Rural Areas (KASDEP) in the province of Elazığ. A SWOT analysis was conducted to identify the cooperatives' capability to survive under the current production and market conditions. 2.135.554,07 US$ of a total subsidy amount of 3.876.851,75 US$ extended to Elazığ Agricultural Development Subsidies between 2004 and 2007 was repaid according to the data for 2015, which means a collection rate of 55.08%, and the remaining 44.92% is expected to be repaid through debt restructuring. Diorite and monzonites of this granitoid complex are cut by the granitic dykes. The Pertek granitoid, in the study area, is found in the Permo-Triassic Keban metamorphic sequence along intru- sive and tectonic contacts. Along the intrusive contacts metasomatic mineralizations are common. Granitoids are, depending on the mineralogical composition, low-, middle- high-K subalkaline features. Major oxide- SiO2 variation diagrams show that fractionation (particularly plagioclase, hornblend, pyroxene and olivine fractionation) played an important role on the granitoid formation during a continuous crystallization process. Distribution of the samples from the Pertek granitoid in the tectonic setting diagrams, and their chondrite- and primordial mantle-normalized trace element patterns resemble to the of arc-type granitoids. Trace element and rare earth element compositions indicate that the magma, from which the Pertek granitoid crystallized, derived from a mantle that was enriched by the fluids derived from the subducted slab, however this magma was contaminated by the crust during its intrusion.

Posted November 2008. Summary published in MYCOTAXON 105: 19–22. 2008. Lichens of Malatya, Elazığ and Adıyaman provinces (Turkey) MEHMET CANDAN & AYŞEN ÖZDEMIR TÜRK [email protected], [email protected] Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Anadolu University Eskişehir, Turkey Abstract—The lichenized and lichenicolus fungi of Malatya, Elazığ and Adıyaman provinces of Turkey, based on the authors’ collections and literature records, are listed, of which 20 are new for Turkey and 187 are new for the study area. As a consequence of this study, there are 315 infrageneric taxa recorded from these provinces. Key words—lichenized fungi, new records, biodiversity Introduction An increasing number of studies on the lichen flora of Turkey have been carried out in the last two decades; most of these focus on the central, western and northern Turkey, but there are still unexplored areas even in these parts of the country. The present floristic study of Malatya, Elazığ and Adıyaman provinces, previously overlooked, redresses to some extent this situation. The first lichen records of six independent researchers from the study area, concerned with the distribution and uses of manna lichens undertaken during 1864-1897, are reviewed by Donkin (1981). Steiner (1921) reported 74 taxa from Elazığ and Adıyaman provinces, based on Handell-Mazetti’s collections from Mesopotamia, Syria and Iraq. Szatala (1960) recorded 8 lichens from Elazığ Province, as well as records from other parts of Turkey. Szatala’s paper (1960) based on the lichen collection of zoologist Victor Pietschmann, all contained lichen records from Syria and Iraq. Recently, Candan & Özdemir Türk (2000) recorded 50 infrageneric taxa from eastern part of Malatya City.
