ACQUISITIONS DRIVE CONSOLIDATION BY GREG PETSCHKE STRATEGIC ACCOUNTS BY THE NUMBERS The industrial space segment is experiencing a quickening pace of acquisitions, resulting in signifi cant consolidation of ownership. The big get bigger as the small get gobbled up. This quickening pace of consolidation is being driven by number of factors. Demand for warehouse space to fuel internet demand remains high. Occupancy rates remain high, pointing to solid demand. And rents have remained at high levels as a result.

Two industrial warehouse behemoths are leading the acquisition charge. Prologis has been Leads Generated extremely active. Most recently Prologis agreed to acquire (107 million SF), a deal that should close in early 2020.
