Paris Art & Movie Awards The Paris Art and Movie Awards is the leading independent film festival in Paris.

The « PAMA » has been ranked, as soon as its second year, the second festival not to miss in Paris, by The Culture Trip Magazine. It is also listed in the TOP 100 film festivals in the world by the leading platform FilmFreeway.

Our goal is to help independent filmmakers screening their films, awarding them, show their films to high level industry talents and public figures.

Matt Beurois, festival founder.

We accept short films and feature, in a wide range of categories. We close each year festival by an award ceremony, giving away trophies and certificates and gifts to films, and to filmmakers, cast and crew.

We keep supporting and promoting winners and nominees long after their nomination or their win : we follow you on Facebook and Instagram, we share your work… We also have a policy of inviting former winners to become Judges, and former nominees to walk on stage to give away awards to their fellow filmmakers.

We are a human scale festival, often compared to the hottest New- York underground and dynamic events. We have partnerships with medias, established companies, and the screening always take place in grand historic venues in Paris.

We have an office in Paris, and another in Burbank (Los Angeles).

« Child Voice » is the French largest chartity protecting kids in France (federation « La Voix de l’Enfant »). This federation gathers many societies and associations that help children, defend them in courts, protect their rights, give them a voice, offer education and protection.

Because they are in need of a home, because of family issues, sometimes violence or simply loneliness or lack of luck… « Child Voice » give the kids a voice to defend themselves, from the streets to the courts, and give the op- portunities to enhance their chances in life.

The Paris Art and Movie Awards opens several of its screenings to the kids, for free of course. We also run special screenings and meetings during the festival, for the filmakers to talk and explain movies to the kids, from 7 to 29.

« We are proud to support La Voix de l’Enfant since the festival’s inception. Movies are about freedom, knowledge, entertainment, and fun. We often consider these as basic everyday stuff. For some people, they are not. With our actions, we want to support the kids, and just have them enjoy and discover what movies are about and for. » Matt Beurois (festival founder & CEO)

Our winter festival, the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards, raised awareness to the Time’s Up movement, inviting people to donate directely to their fund.

We are very cautious, each year with the PAMA and the HAMA, to select judges from very different backgrounds, origins, cultures, with various life and work experiences, including women and men.

We will continue to work this way in 2018 and after that. THE AMERICAN LEGION

« Thanks to our activities in Los Angeles, we’ve been lucky to meet some extraodinary people. In here in the USA, being a veteran means a lot. It has its perks, and its challenges. From France, we often don’t really understand the meaning of « service« , it is a different culture. This year, starting in 2018, we are happy today to start working with the American Legion, to share our experiences, and be somehow helpful to those who gave some, or gave all. » Matt Beurois (festival founder & CEO)

The 2018 edition of the Paris Art and Movie Awards will include a special screening with and for the Veterans. This will bring a new audience to the screenings, and will also bring the screenings to new places, being a great opportunity for the filmmakers.

The Paris Post is post number one because it’s been the very first created after World War II. Once again, we are proud and humbled to team with people who made history, to a human level, and more.

We also are in connexion with Post 43 (Hollywood), and soon with Post 150 (Burbank).

The PAMA wants to highlight films and pieces of art created by military veterans. This objective is based on the belief that the art helps veterans to overcome the trauma of war. Back home, many veterans are fighting PTSD, TBI, depression or guilt. By expressing themselves through a film or a piece of art, or by taking part to exchanges, talk, discussions around screenings, we believe we can help veterans to transfer their feelings to images and art, and help relieve their minds. Rusty Noesner, a former member of the Navy SEALs who was injured in Afghanistan said to the New York Times : “You are going 100 miles per hour, and after serving you are slamming on the brakes. The artistic process gives you a pause to start thinking about how you should be living your life now.” According to the WRAMC (Walter Reed Army Medical Center) and the NICoE (National Intrepid Center of Excel- lence), as well as many other institutions, the creative and expressive therapies are beneficial to help veterans heal

The festival is working closely with The American Legion of Paris, and we also work with the American Legion Past 43 of Hollywood. Together we want to support veterans, offering them the opportunity to screen their films and to attend the festival for free, along with entertainment’s professionals. For painters and photographers, The Paris Art & Movie Awards is the opportunity to showcase their work in Paris, the city of arts.

We have been working and talking to vets for over a year, and we believe we can help. We know movies, we know artists, and we want to mix the best of both worlds to create a human connexion. Partners
