AMENDED ORDER DESIGNATING JUVENILE PROCESSING OFFICES As per §§ 52.025 Texas Family Code

IT IS THE ORDER OF THE JUVENILE COURT, Hunt County, Texas, that the following places in Hunt County, Texas are designated as a Juvenile Processing Office(s) for the temporary detention of a child taken into custody under Section 52.025 et seq of the Juvenile Justice Code:

A. The Juvenile Processing offices for the following entities in Hunt County are listed in this Order and specifically exclude any cell or holding facility.

Texas A&M Commerce University PD Henderson Hall room #H-133, H- 137 and H-141 West Tawakoni Police Department City council chambers and squad room Celeste PD, Hawk Cove PD and Wolfe City PD Will not process any juveniles at their location but will bring them to Hunt County Sheriff's Department and use their processing offices.

B. All Justices of the Peace Courts of Hunt County, Texas, including offices and hearing rooms, excluding any cell or holding facility.

A child may be detained in a juvenile processing office only for the following:

1. The return of the child to the custody of a person under Section 52.02 (a) (1)

2. The completion of essential forms and records required by the juvenile court or this title;

3. The photographing and fingerprinting of the child if otherwise authorized at the time of temporary detention by this title;

4. The issuance of warnings to the child as required or permitted by this title; or

5. The receipt of a statement by the child under Section 51.095(a) (1) (2) (3) or (5)

This office may not be a cell or holding facility used for detentions other than detention under this section.

C. A child may not be left unattended in a juvenile processing office and is entitled to be accompanied by the child' s parent, guardian, or other custodian or by the child's attorney.

D. A child may not be detained in a juvenile processing office for longer than six hours.

If at any time the Juvenile Board ofHunt County learns of any agency violating any term of this order, said agency may be removed from having a juvenile processing office upon its premises.
