Diogo Nogueira

Son of the player João Nogueira, Diogo got used to being cradled by sings and . João used to take his son to sing at his concerts and soon came the invitations to participate in samba wheels in Rio, a habit that earned him respect and approval of the "wobbles" of the song. From a young age, he wanted to be a soccer player and trained in the club base category in and Porto Alegre, but a knee injury caused Diogo to change his mind and Brazilian popular music won a great scorer.

In 2007, he recorded his first DVD at the Teatro João Caetano (RJ), with samba classics and unpublished songs, alongside the guests Marcelo D2, Xande de Pilares (ex-singer of the group Revelação) and guitarist Marcel Powell. In July 2010, the singer recorded the second DVD of his discography, Sou Eu, on the stage of Vivo Rio (RJ), which had the five thousand tickets exhausted the day before. In the show, Diogo Nogueira counted on the participation of Chico Buarque, Ivan Lins, Alcione, Hamilton from Holland and the dancers from Cia. De Dança Carlinhos de Jesus. Also in 2010, she won the VMB Award from MTV Brasil, in the category "Best MPB artist", in addition to competing for the best clip of the year, an unprecedented event in MTV's history for a samba clip. In November of the same year, the singer won the Latin Grammy, in the Brazilian category of "Best Samba Album", for the album Tô Fazendo a Minha Parte. Between June and July 2011, he made his second international tour, which went through Europe and the United States. The great repercussion of the tour through Europe yielded other fruits to the samba. EMI Music de Portugal launched the Sou eu CD and DVD in Lusitanian lands in September of that year, when Diogo fulfilled a promotional agenda in Lisbon. The singer returned to Brazil to resume his intense schedule of shows, which included a performance at the Sunset Stage of 2011. In November 2011, Diogo performed his first show in Havana, Cuba. At the time, the samba artist recorded a documentary with images of his passing through the country, his meeting with local musicians and his travel impressions. In April 2012, he launched the João Nogueira Sambabook, a tribute to his father's work. Several artists participated in the recordings, among them names like Djavan, Seu Jorge, Arlindo Cruz, Jorge Aragão, , , and Alcione.

In August 2012, he released the CD and DVD Diogo Nogueira Live in Cuba. The DVD features the record of the show in Havana, Cuba, as well as the documentary "DOC.SHOW". The work earned Diogo another Platinum DVD (80,000 copies sold) and a Gold CD (50,000 copies).

Diogo Nogueira ended 2012 in style, bringing his greatest hits to more than two million people, who accompanied the turn of the year at Copacabana Beach.

In July of 2013, Diogo released the More Amor CD, with shows in Vivo Rio (RJ) and HSBC Brasil (SP), starting a great tour that went through all the Brazilian capitals. In August of the same year, the singer released, in partnership with the Hamilton bandolinista of Holland, the disc Bossa Negra. Inspired by the Afro-sambas of Baden Powell and , the album features 13 tracks, most of which are compositions, as well as classical compositions by , Vinicius, and Arlindo Cruz.

In June 2015, shortly after releasing his fourth studio album, Porta-Voz da Alegria, Diogo performed the show "Bossa Negra" on tour in ten European countries (France, Italy, England, Portugal, Slovenia, Holland, Finland, Germany, Belgium and Sweden), accompanied by Hamilton of Holland. Back in Brazil, at the beginning of August, he participated in a show in Rio de Janeiro alongside Zeca Pagodinho and Roberta Sá, to mark a year of the beginning of the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Still in 2015, Diogo debuted as an actor in the musical SamBRA, the multiplatform project of Musickeria and Aventura Entertainment, which marked the beginning of the samba centenary celebrations. A mix of musical and show, the show touches on the history of samba and its bastions and was always presented with crowded houses in various capitals of the country.

At the end of 2015, Diogo debuted a new tour, Porta-Voz da Alegria, based on the namesake album, which ran the main Brazilian capitals always with crowded shows. In addition to the shows, Diogo continues as a presenter for six years of the TV show "Samba na Gamboa", the largest audience of TV Brasil, also shown by TV Cultura. In Carnival 2016, Diogo was a champion with the school Empress Dona Leopoldina, from Porto Alegre, when he was honored in the samba-plot "Mirror, from Son to Father, Empress Sings Diogo to John", and was present at the parade. And in May of that year, he recorded his fourth DVD, Alma Brasileira, scheduled to be released in September 2016.
