J (( '1' I (Jrt•J·j(,r;i /• .~ !'' .r.,, /' _, I / PURPOSES The 1969-70 Diredtory of Student Organizations has been prepared by the Student Activities Bureau in co-operation ~ith the officers of student organizations. The directory is published: 1. To assist counselors and faculty advisors in directing individual students towards groups that can best meet their educational, cultural, social, and recreational interests and needs. 2. To provide a total picture of organized student life to assist in further development of the extra-curriculum. 3. To help provide a channel of communication beh'1een various university service agencies and student organizations. INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITIES COUNSELING The Student Activities Bureau was established in the belief that extra­ curricular activities are a necessary and valuable part of every student's total education and development. The advisors arc ready to consult with any student concerning activities and organizations that would contribute to his personal developr:1cnt, and to rccor.rr;wnd appropriate ones. \'le encourage each student to make use of this service. Appointments with any staff member desired nay be arranged with the bureau receptionist at roon 110, Temporary North of !.iines, 373-3955 (f:1inneapolis Campus) and 103 Ag Botany, 373-1164 (St. Paul Campus). ORGANIZATIOllAL ADVISING The bureau staff are \'Jell skilled in all phases of operational development and program planning of student groups. They arc ready at all times to help improve the functioning and programs of any organization. For assistance in this area, please call the staff member assigned to the particular organization. If you have a question, contact the bureau receptionist at 373-3955. USE OF THE DIRECTORY 1. There is an alphabetical index at the back of the book, which includes not only recognized student organizations, but also many all-university events.
