Treble ‘n Bass singers and piano, bass and drums – Vicki on keyboard strings. This piece will be performed in a prayer-like fashion with emphasis on the harmony and beautiful melody. This is #26 in your notebooks.

The new arrangement has some other music besides the service songs, and some of it is in parts. Please take a look and see if it’s something you’d like to do. I need to have as many singers-on-mics as possible with all of the musicians that will be playing on this song.

The Les Brown band will be joined by anyone who wants to sing this number. We will be Cathey’s back up group, but everyone who wants to will sing SATB on this one.

This song will be performed with a smaller band and a feel. This is new music which is not in your notebooks. I will have copies for you to include in the show music and script folders.

This song will feature Nancy Sinatra (Stephanie) and will include the women only as a comedy-song sketch with Bob Hope. This is new music also and will be included in the show/script notebooks.

Musicians: Our band plus trumpets from big band You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To

This will be a men’s comedy sketch. There will be a broom or a mop decorated as a woman, and one of the guys will pick up the broom and start dancing around with it, then the rest of the men join in on this song. It is #31 in your notebooks and will be performed in a light-hearted manner.

We will have a couple of extra rehearsals to decide how the arrangement needs to be modified to be a men’s vocal number.

This will be our final number and will be a patriotic thank you. As we are singing, the JROTC students will present each Veteran or active military member of the audience a pin attached to a card with “Thank You for Your Service” printed on the card.

I would like everyone singing or playing on this song if possible. The arrangement is #27 in our notebooks. We will continue to practice this song at our regularly scheduled rehearsals.
