Learning idiomatic expression can be from variegated ways and sources such as from school, book, song, even a movie. In this context, the researcher attempted to analyze idiomatic expressions from animated movie series entitled “AVATAR: The Legend of Korra" which aired on the Nickelodeon television channel. The aims of this research were; (1) to classify the idiomatic expressions based on Fillmore's theories, (2) to find out the literal meaning of each idiomatic expression found in the series. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative approach and the researcher himself as the key instrument to gather and analyze the data from the movie series. The result showed that the researcher obtained 62 idiomatic expressions from 13 episodes within Book Three: Change and all of the findings fulfilled eight of eight types of idiom based on theory by Fillmore. In order to get better understanding, the meaning of each idiom also has been translated with the help of Online Cambridge Dictionary and The Free Dictionary by Farlex.
