In fact, some Abstract people already prefer Korean culture and products to those from their own country. It is inevitable in Indonesia, too, where most of its K-Wave-enthusiasts are teenage to adult females. With this in mind, there is a possibility that Indonesian culture might eventually vanish in those individuals. Thus, this quantitative research focuses on Indonesian female K-Wavers between 15 and 30 years old who are living in the Jabodetabek area, and investigates their main medium of Korean Wave consumption and whether Korean Wave has an impact on individuals and on Indonesian culture itself. The results based on the data of 251 respondents show that internet is the main medium of Korean Wave consumption in the Jabodetabek area. Furthermore, the results injdicate that the Korean Wave does significantly impact Indonesian female K-Wavers in several aspects, but an impact of the Korean Wave on Indonesian culture could not be found. 35 BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES JOURNAL c MARC 2016 . This study takes its starting point in the questions of what caused the Korean conflict, and what role the Bible has played in the divided Korean church and society. In order to find answers to these questions, this study is carried out in several steps. The first step is to explore just peace and imperial peace in the Bible as a conceptual framework. The second step seeks to reconstruct the history of Korean Christianity, the relationship between church and state, and the impact of American church and politics from postcolonial perspective. As the third step, this study focuses on the homiletical discourses of Korean megachurches in terms of their relation to the dominant ideologies, such as anticommunism, national security, pro-Americanism, and economic prosperity. -

The five-day event will conclude on Friday, October 16. *MIPCOM(Marché International des Programmes de Communication): The world’s largest content market with approximately 13,000 broadcasting experts from around 100 countries in attendance. *Country of Honour: Every year MIPCOM selects a country to showcase that country’s content, success stories and noteworthy programs. The KCC is organizing the Country of Honour at MIPCOM in order to create opportunity for broadcasting Hallyu(Korean wave) to go beyond the Asian market and take off in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s Country of Honour event will be held online for the first time. It’s expected the considerable time and cost savings this year will enable more attendees to experience high-quality Korean content. This article investigates how “Hallyu” (the Korean Wave) is appropriated and experienced by Indonesian fans in their daily lives. Following up on our work in 2006, we carried out interviews in 2013 with 12 Indonesian supporters who had participated in the prior qualitative research on the Indonesian reception of the Korean television drama Dae Jang Geum (Jewel in the Palace). First, this article examines the historical development of the Hallyu phenomenon in Indonesia with rapidly digitalized mediascape of the country. Next, we examine the salient features of the appropriation of Korean pop culture and investigate the hybrid cultural resources and experiences. We focus in particular on how our interviewees construct and use a certain imaginary of “Koreanness” as a consequence of negotiation in relations of symbolic power. Finally, we discuss implications of the routinized consumption and habituation of Hallyu by its transnational audience to understand its cultural impact and significance in the global context.
