Two women facing the same charges in Krasnoyarsk will go on trial on 27 November, and another man in Rostov-on-Don is likely to be tried soon after. Four more people are soon to be brought to court on similar charges. Another Muslim from Perm, who reads the works of the late Turkish Muslim theologian Said Nursi, was given a suspended prison sentence in June. Also, the Jehovah's Witness community in Samara - forcibly liquidated on charges of "extremism" - has been unable to overturn the liquidation ruling on 12 November in the Supreme Court. In Taganrog a similar 2009 liquidation also upheld by the Supreme Court has been used to justify banning all Jehovah's Witness activity. Subsequently, seven Jehovah's Witnesses were found guilty of "extremism" in August 2014 for continuing to meet together for prayer and Bible study. Analysis of the main trends of alien species introduction, present ecological status, origin and pathways is considered. European Transport \ Trasporti Europei n. 30 (2005): 14-36 Ukrainian and Russian waterways and the development of European transport corridors Michael Doubrovsky1∗ 1Odessa National Maritime University, Odessa, Ukraine Abstract Four of the nine international transport corridors pass through the territory of Ukraine: №3, №5, №7, and №9. In recent years Ukraine conducted an active policy supporting the European initiatives on the international transport corridors and offered variants of corridors to the European community. In the field of a water transport it is planned to carry out the construction of new and reconstruction of existing infrastructure (regarding corridors № 9; TRACECA; Baltic - Black Sea) in the main Ukrainian ports. The paper considers the situation in the Ukrainian waterways as a part of the international transport corridors. It presents an analysis of the existing situation and some planning measures. In order to optimize and rationally development the inland waterways and seaports of the Black Sea – Azov Sea region it is necessary to speed up the working out and official approval of the regional transport ways network. Regarding Ukrainian seaports this task is carried out within the framework of program TRACECA, and also by Steering Committee of Black Sea PETRA and working group on transport of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. To connect the new members countries of EU two approaches are considered: (1) the use of the Danube River due to restoration of navigation in its Ukrainian part, providing an exit to the Black Sea; (2) the creation of new inland water-transport links providing a more rational and uniform distribution of freight traffics from the Central and Northern Europe (using the third largest river in Europe - Dnepr River running into the Black Sea). -

Panov With 4 figures Abstract The Ponto-Caspian predaceous cladoceran Cercopagis pengoi was first recorded in the Gulf of Riga in 1992 and in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland in 1995. The seasonal cycle of С. pengoi in the shallow waters off the north-eastern coast of the Gulf of Finland was studied from the end of June to October 1996. In early August females bearing resting eggs constituted 13-67% of the total population of C. pengoi. The start of the production of resting eggs corresponded with the period of elevated water temperature and with an increase in population density of C. pengoi. A comparison with published data on reproduction of cercopagids revealed a considerable difference in timing and intensity of resting egg production between the Caspian and Baltic populations of C. pengoi. The adaptive significance of changes in the mode of reproduction and in the mass production of resting eggs for survival of C. pengoi in the novel environment is discussed. Introduction Cladoceran crustaceans of the families Podonidae and Cercopagidae comprise one of the most peculiar groups among the autochthonous Ponto-Caspian fauna. While podonids may be considered as descendants of the marine genus Evadne, cercopagids of the genera Apagis and Cercopagis most probably originated from the freshwater Bythotrephes (MORDUKHAI-BOLTOVSKOI 1965a, MORDUKHAI- BOLTOVSKOI & RIVIER 1987). -

The list contains 193 species, representing 13 families and 61 genera. Of these, 103 species (53.4%) and 12 genera are endemic to Mexico, and 75 species are considered local endemics because of their restricted distribution to very small areas. Using NatureServe Ranking, 9 species (4.7%) are considered possibly or presumably extinct, 40 (20.7%) are critically imperiled, 30 (15.5%) are imperiled, 15 (7.8%) are vulnerable and only 64 (33.2%) are currently stable. -

Theodoxus fluviatilis is a widely distributed species, ranging from the Ireland (Lucey et al . 1992) to Iran (Glöer & Peši ć 2012). The records from Africa were considered as doubtful (Brown 2002), but recently the senior author found this species in Algeria (Glöer unpublished record). The species prefers the lowlands (in Switzerland up to 275 m a.s.l., Turner et al . 1998), and calcium-rich waters, living on hard benthic substrates, typically rocks. On the territory of the Central and Eastern Balkans three species are present (Markovi ć et al . 2014): Theodoxus fluviatilis (Linnaeus, 1758), T. danubialis (C. Pfeiffer, 1828) and T. transversalis (C.Pfeiffer, 1828). For Montenegro, Wohlberedt (1909), Karaman & Karaman (2007), Glöer & Peši ć (2008), and Peši ć & Glöer (2013) listed only Theodoxus fluviatilis . Figures 1-4. The current changes in runoff characteristics were studied for different river basins, and their major causes were identified. Regional regularities in the hydrological and geohydrological processes were identified. The natural resources of surface and subsurface waters over 1970–2005 were re-estimated with the construction of appropriate maps. Water availability and demand on water resources were analysed. Studying the current features of the formation of river runoff components makes it possible to describe the distribution of total water resources in European Russia (ER) and their dynamics under the effect of non stationary climate. MATERIALS AND METHODS The input data for the analysis were materials from the State Water Cadastre and Russian and international hydrometric and climatic databases collected for approximately 300 watersheds in ER.
