Annamacharya is remembered for his holy life and is revered by devoted and holy singers as a great devotee of Vishnu. It is believed that he was an avatar of Nandaki, a sword of Vishnu. He is widely regarded as Andhra Pada Kavita Pitamaha (Grandpa Telugu songwriting). Tallapaka Annamacharya was born on Vaishah Shuddha Purnami in Sarwadhari (May 22, 1408) in Tallapak, near Rajampet Mandala, a village in the present-day Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Although his parents belonged to the Nandawarika Brahmin community of the Smart tradition, he accepted the initiation in Vaishnawim and became Vaishnava in Vedanta Desika Sampradaya. His wife, Timmakka, wrote Touhadra Kalyanam and is considered the first female poet in Thelugu literature. Their son, Pedda Tirumalacharya, and Tallapak's grandson, Chinnaya, were also composers and poets. It is believed that Tallapas's compositions dominated and influenced the structure of carnatic musical compositions. Annamacharya lived 95 years before Falguna Bahula (Krishna) Dadashi (12th day after the full moon) in the year of Dhundhubhi (April 4, 1503). Literary The 10- year-old tall statue of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya is located at the entrance to Tallapak. Annamay is said to have composed up to 32,000 sankeertanas (songs) on the god Venkateswara of which only about 12,000 are available today. In his later keertans, he supports topics such as morality, dharma, and righteousness. He was one of the first to speak out against the social stigma towards the untouchable castes in his era, with his sankeertanas explaining that the relationship between God and man is the same, regardless of the color of the latter, caste and financial situation, in his songs Brahmaṃ Ockat Paraschbrahamamokkat and Kulajushinani His huge literary career has earned him a place among all the great literatures of the world. Legacy, although it was popular at the time, his compositions were forgotten for more than three centuries. Mentioned in 1849, they were later found engraved on copper plates hidden for centuries inside the Temple of Sri Venkateswara in Tirumala, directly opposite Hundi, hidden in a very small room. In 2005, an English translation of 150 of these verses was published. Tirumala Tirupati Delastanams, also known as TTD, strives to preserve the rich heritage of his compositions. In 1950, the government of Andhra Pradesh established a committee and appointed him head of the legendary musician of the late Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna. He has put the music under more than 800 compositions of Annamachary and is still popular among devotees. For two decades it was the Oyaka of the Tirumala Temple in Tirupati. He is considered a legend in the rendering of devoted music in the classical style, especially Annamacharya Sankirtanas. He was also a famous poet, singer and musicologist. In 1979, the album of the legendary singer Smm. M. S. Subbulakshmi Balaji Pancharatna Mala invented Annamacharya kertanas as Vande Vasudevam, Bhavamulona, Sriman Narayana and many others. It became a hit and uveha on the compositions of Annamacharya in every corner of the country. Shobha Raju is the first recipient of the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams Scholarship in 1976 to study and establish a trend towards the dissemination of Annamachiarya's compositions, and was also as the first exclusive artist to distribute Tallapace's compositions in 1978. Her first audio album, Venkatavara Goth Melik, is popular with the Telugu community. She is the founder of Annamacharya Bhavana Vahini (ABV) in 1983, which is located in Hyderabad, India. She was awarded Padmashri by the Government of India in 2010 in recognition of her efforts to promote Annamayya compositions. Sri Garimella Balakrishna Prasad, a carnathic musical exhibitor and Astana vidvan from Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams, tuned in to more than six hundred songs written by Annamacary, gave audio recordings for TTC, published books with musical notations and held classes teaching songs to make them more popular. In 1994, the famous Bharathanamiyam artist Parvati Ravi Gantasala and the daughter-in-law of the legendary singer Gantasal Venkateswara Rao for the first time prepared and presented a dance production of a mammoth in honor of the divine composer called Annamaya. Rare and popular songs were woven into the format of the story and the music of the legendary stalwarts was set to action. This production was discovered by former Indian President R. Venkatraman and Bharat Ratna award-winning singer M.S. Subbulakshmi and in the same year for Tirumala bhramotsavam. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudev. Few days ago the festival of Deepavali was celebrated. It is the day wherein Lord Sri Krishna was tied in the wooden mortar by Yashoda mata. Also this is the day of victorious entry of Lord Rama into Ayodhya after the war with Ravana. Also this month is called 'Damodar'. Damo means rope and udara means stomach. One who is tied around the stomach is called Lord Damodara. This month is like season offer Krishna has given as He knows the mentality of people in Kaliyuga. With all these concessions, we are not taking up to lovingly chant His Names and therefore He has to give lot of discount sales on devotional service and take away the sins of performers. This pastime of the Lord being tied to a mortar by His mother is a very fascinating pastime and year after year we hear the same pastime but it is always fresh and enlivening. Yashoda mata particularly teaches us how to attract the mercy of Krishna quickly by unflinching devotional service. There are specifically 3 verses which gives the very easy way to attract the mercy of the Lord. Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 10, Chapter 9 describes this pastime very wonderfully and Srila Prabhupada summarizes this chapter as follows. "While mother Yashoda was allowing Krishna to drink her breast milk, she was forced to stop because she saw the milk pan boiling over on the oven.
