  • All-City Prep Sports Awards the Oklahoman’S All-City Prep Sports Awards CAMPAIGN DETAILS
The Oklahoman’s All-City Prep Sports Awards The Oklahoman’s All-City Prep Sports Awards CAMPAIGN DETAILS Best Use of an Event to Build a News Brand Group 1/Local, Regional Brands Excerpt: The Oklahoman created and executed a once-in-a-lifetime awards experience for outstanding high school athletes, headlined by five-time NFL MVP, Peyton Manning. With 1,200 attendees, this marks the largest awards event in Oklahoma City, recognizing 528 athletes from over 100 high schools across 12 sports. In fact, our male-athlete-of-the-year, Trae Young, is a current super-star in college basketball which helps continue to build awareness for our event. Finally, our event contributed to our community as we selected a non-profit beneficiary, Fields & Futures, to receive a donation from the proceeds. Challenge: Our challenge was to help raise awareness of the importance of high school athletics to our community because national statistics show students involved in organized athletics experience better grades, better attendance, higher graduation rates, and have a higher sense of self-worth and better social skills than non-participants. Objective: The primary objective was to sell sponsorships and tickets to the event in an effort to bring in new revenue for our company. Our secondary objective was to create an event that would be a once in a lifetime experience for outstanding high school athletes at the biggest sports awards event in the history of the Oklahoma City metro area. Our final objective was to promote our award-winning sports coverage as being the most comprehensive in the state of Oklahoma.

APBA FOOTBALL GREAT TEAMS OF THE PAST Volume 3 The following players comprise volume 3 of APBA's Great Football Teams of the Past ("GTOP") Card Set. The regular starters at each position are listed first and should be used most frequently. Realistic use of the players below will generate statistical results remarkably similar to those from real life. Names in bold are starters. IMPORTANT: When a Red "K" appears in the R-column as the result on any kind of running play from scrimmage or on any return, roll the dice again, refer to the K-column, and use the number there for the result. When a player has a "K" in his R-column, he can never be used for kicking or punting. If the symbol "F-K" or "F-P" appears on a players card, it means that you use the K or P column when he recovers a fumble. Edward Richardson 1 Genealogical Records . 41 Appendix . · . 69 CAPTAIN EDWARD RICHARDSON-A MEMORIAL. ,VITH GENEALOGICAL RECORDS OF SOME OF His ANCESTORS AND DESCENDANTS. BY ELIZABETH WILLS VERNON RADCLIFFE. One Sabbath morning, more than one hundred years ago, a sailing vessel dropped anchor in the harbor of a Massachusetts seaport town. A young sailor came ashore, walked along a peaceful road and into its Baptist l\ileeting House. Soon he heard a sweet voice singing. "Who is that?" he inquired of a friend. "That's Patty Smith, one of the belles of Hadley," was the reply. Edward Richardson looked up from where he was seated and discovered a beautiful girl. "I'll walk home with her after service," he whispered to his companion. "You can hardly do that," was confided, "s·omebody else claims the privilege." Nevertheless, at the church door he stood awaiting the descent from the choir; was introduced, and did walk home with her that morning, in the spring sunshine, and into her heart as well; this we may conclude, as their engagement and marriage soon followed. In her father's familv Bible is recorded: &I "July 28, 1813, My daughter ~Iartha aged 19 years and 8 months, was married to Edward Richardson, aged 24 years, of Danvers, Mass."
