51 This cover was created with the Drawing Office. The Drawing Office is responsible for creating and maintaining the ground plan of each production, a master drawing which is an essential tool for many technical and creative departments at the NT. They work from designs and scale models created by designers, using 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs to turn those ideas into technical and practical construction guides. These are used by the NT workshops, such as carpentry and metalwork, to build the scenery that appears on all our stages. They also create Digital Art during the development of each production, making use of computer modelling and animation to previsualise sightlines, automation 020 7452 3000 and scene changes. nationaltheatre.org.uk
