In their spare time they make the music they really like under the banner N.E.R.D. Equally inspired by Duran Duran's silk-spun new wave classics and the Beatles' strapping psychedelic epics, Fly or Die, the follow-up to 's In Search Of, is a bustling, bumping disc highlighted by rowdy tracks like "She Wants to Move". The second N.E.R.D. album, Fly or Die, was released March Having written a half-good song for the Counting Crows, the all-powerful Neptunes have proved they can do anything. Spymob, the band that funked up N.E.R.D.'s electrifying debut, In Search Of, are gone for the rap-rock trio's second go-around, Fly Or Die, but the formula remains more or less intact: crisp beats, classic rock guitar licks, Pharrell Williams' falsetto hooks and narrative storytelling all wrapped up in a stew of. When TV show The Word visited Ice-T's Los Angeles home in the early s, the gangsta rapper may well have been the coolest figure in pop. Then he invited the cameras to inspect his music collection. In the programme's most fateful moment, Ice-T selected a CD that looked suspiciously like Invisible. He has clearly approached 'Fly Or Die' as the kind of project where the central aim is to show us all how clever he is, and as he flits from musical style to style like a hungry In fact, it sounds just like – I shit you not – the [a]NERD[/a] at their most sunshined-up and effervescent and it WILL be a Number One. Artist. N.E.R.D. Williams and Hugo go appropriately wild on their delightfully strange second N*E*R*D album, Fly Or Die, which runs roughshod over genres and influences ranging from The Beatles to new wave to dirty blues to '70s rock. Lyrically, Williams has a Steely Dan-like fondness for misfits. While the band -- Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Shay Sheldon Haley), plus backup -- made the sorts of appearances you'd expect to promote a new album, they were also publicly feuding with their now-erstwhile parent label, on the grounds that Virgin did not put enough effort into selling Fly or Die. For some strange reason, EMI decided to pair N.E.R.D.'s first two albums -- 's In Search Of and 's Fly or Die -- into one package and retail the set at a price slightly less than what you'd pay if you picked them up individually. It's worth noting that the version of In Search Of included here is the inferior re-recorded. Breakout, Chariot Of Fire, Drill Sergeant, Find My Way, Fly Or Die, Jump Feat. Joel& Benji. After N.E.R.D.'s first album In Search Of was an underground hit we all waited for the rock group featuring members of the Hip Hop beat maestros, The Neptunes: Chad Hugo, Rob Walker, and crooner Pharrell Williams. Being involved in different environments made him depend on music to connect to other people. Transition into Fame • He first came into fame as a songwriting and production duo, Neptune, with his friend Chad Hugo in the 90s. • They produced hits for artists ranging from Jay-Z to Britney Spears. He produced some artists most well known songs such as Nelly’s “Hot in Herre,” Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl”, Kelis’ “My Milkshake Brings All the Boys to the Yard,” and Justin Timberlake’s “Senorita.” • In a study done by Complex, during 2003, The Neptunes were responsible for 43% of the songs playing on the radio in the United States.

Dr. Susan Jasko was my advisor at California University of Pennsylvania since 2005 and encouraged me to stay in the Honors Program. Dr. Drew McGukin had the initiative to bring me to the Honors Program in the first place. I wanted to acknowledge everybody in the Honors Department (Dr. Ed Chute, Dr. Erin Mountz, Mrs. Kim Orslene, and Dr. Don Lawson). Doing a Red Hot Chili Peppers project in 2008 for Mr. Max Gonano was also very important. The quartet from Waldorf has been making a mockery of Maryland heritage since the debut of their self-titled first album in 2000. The band’s career began innocently enough. The single “Little Things” became a huge success. However, with each album the band has descended more obviously into the realm of boy bands. Even their tattoos and emo lyrics cannot hide the fact that their primary audience is preteens. Band members have even been seen hosting MTV’s Total Request Live. Recently, the band has added more embarrassing incidents to their track record including lead singer Joel Madden’s relationship with Disney teenybopper Hilary Duff. The couple began dating when Duff was seventeen and Madden was twenty- five. Two weeks ago the pair announced their engagement and plans for a wedding abroad.
