What smart phones / tablets are compatible with the HALO Home app? HALO Home is compatible with as many smart phones / tablets and versions of iOS and Android as possible. The HALO Home app is compatible with the following operating systems for mobile devices and tablets: • We recommend iOS 10.0 or later • Android 4.4.2 and later

The following Apple and tablets are compatible with 4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy radio) and the HALO Home app: • iPhone* (5s, 5c, 6, and 6+ and later) • iPad* (4th gen and later) • iPad Air (1st, 2nd gen and later) • iPad Mini (2nd, and 3rd gen and later) • iPod Touch (6th gen and later) *NOTE: This does not include the iPhone 4 and older versions, the iPad 2 and older version, and the iPod Touch 4G and older generations.

HALO Home is compatible with the following Android smartphones and tablets: • • Google (depending on year; must have Bluetooth 4.0 radio) • Google (Tablet) • HTC One • Galaxy S4, S5, S6, S7, S8 • Samsung Note (Full Series) • LG G3 • OnePlus One

Do I need the HALO Home mobile app to control my lighting devices? You need the HALO Home mobile app to commission your lighting devices and controllers. Once commissioned, you can control your lighting devices several ways, including Groups, Schedules, Scenes, as well as the Anyplace Switch.

Can I control my lighting devices from outside my home? Right now, you can only control lighting devices in the location you are currently situated in. We are launching an Internet Access Bridge (Bridge) shortly that will give you the ability to control your lighting devices from anywhere in the world.

Can more than one person in my household have the app on their mobile device? Yes, you can have multiple users with the HALO Home app. As long as the other members are using the same valid account credentials, they can control your lighting devices. Halo Home Frequently Asked Questions

If more than one person has the mobile app, how will my lighting devices know which one is in control? HALO Home forms a broadcast-based, Bluetooth Mesh topology in your home. The last command a lighting device receives always wins over prior commands.

Do I need to sign in every time I use the mobile app? No. The HALO Home mobile app remembers your username and password and keeps you permanently signed in.

What are the differences between an application update and a firmware update? Eaton releases both application updates and firmware updates to improve function and usability of our application and devices. • Application Update - These updates are for your mobile device that controls your HALO Home lighting devices and controllers. When an application update is released it is then available from the Android Google Play store and from the Apple Store to install on your Phone or Tablet. • Firmware Update - These updates are for your HALO Home lighitng devices and controllers. These updates are available from within your mobile application and are pushed from your Phone or Tablet to the devices installed within your environment.

What is the most recent version of the HALO Home mobile app? 1.8.0 is the latest version of the HALO Home mobile app. You can update to this version by visiting the Apple App Store or Google Play.
