Tittelen på oppgaven; Alkymisten, har jeg valgt fordi det er en selvbiografisk sang, der Åge beskriver sin karriere med sine oppturer og nedturer. I første del av oppgaven har jeg skrevet om populærmusikk som kategori, om «trønderrock» som begrep og som identitet for musikere fra Namdalsregionen, samt om musikkproduksjon som fagfelt. Jeg har også skrevet om valg av metode og valg av kilder. I andre del av oppgaven gjennomgår jeg Åge Aleksandersens karriere gjennom en beskrivelse av barndom og oppvekst i Namsos, hans «læretid» i Prudence, og deretter kommer en historisk oppsummering hans solokarriere. I tredje del kommer jeg inn på Åges rolle som låtskriver og produsent, blant annet sett i forhold til hvordan fonogrambransjen har operert de siste årene, samt hvordan Åges musikalske praksis i studio arter seg. Jeg sier også noe om musikere han har samarbeidet med; spesielt om musikere med folkemusikalsk bakgrunn. I fjerde del sier jeg noe om hvordan Åge og Sambandet jobber sammen i dag, før jeg avrunder med å si noe om perspektivene Åge har på hvordan han kommer til å jobbe med musikk i fremtiden.

ABBA The Museum firar att det är 40 år sedan ABBA slog igenom internationellt i Eurovision Song Contest med låten Waterloo. Museet bjuder in till aktiviteter för hela familjen och passar på att ge en speciell hyllning till ABBA:s alla fans genom premiärframträdandet av museets egna kör; ABBA The Museum/The Choir. Söndagen den 6 april, på dagen 40 år sedan ABBA vann Eurovision Song Contest i Brighton, kommer museet bjuda på olika aktiviteter för barn och vuxna och inte minst för alla ABBA:s fans. Förutom utställningen och alla de interaktiva delarna där du som besökare kan gå upp och sjunga med bandets medlemmar eller virtuellt pröva deras scenkostymer, presenterar museet några nyheter för att hylla ABBA:s vinst i Eurovision Song Contest med låten Waterloo. - Vi har nya utställningsobjekt att presentera kring Waterloo som jag personligen är väldigt glad över, säger museets curator Ingmarie Halling. Till exempel har vi en Viewmaster som innehåller bilder från Brighton 1974. Du klickar själv fram bilderna medan du lyssnar till Benny Andersson som läser ur sin egenskrivna dagbok från dagen i Brighton. Vi har även helt nya föremål som vi visar för första gången. Exempelvis de svart-silvriga platåskorna som Benny hade på sig när ABBA vann med Waterloo i den svenska Melodifestivalen. Det ges även möjlighet att, under professionell ledning, virka sin egen ABBA-mössa, liknande den som bars av Agnetha Fältskog vid uppträdandet i Brighton 1974. Gitarrbyggare Göran Malmberg byggde Björn Ulvaeus’ berömda stjärnformade gitarr som användes under framträdandet i Brighton 1974.

This exhibition is part of the Filmmaker in Focus series at MoMA, which highlights the achievements of a director with an aesthetically and critically established career in filmmaking. The exhibition will be on view from September 10 through 18, 2009, in The Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters, and is organized by Jytte Jensen, Curator, Department of Film, The Museum of Modern Art. Andersson, who rarely travels, will introduce the first six screenings in the series, providing a unique opportunity to hear the director talk about his films outside of Sweden. Andersson’s earliest films, rarely shown school projects from the 1960s, are related thematically and stylistically to the films of the then-influential Czech New Wave. His first feature, which he presented as his thesis at the Swedish Film Institute, is A Swedish Love Story (1970). With the gorgeous Swedish summer as a backdrop, the film portrays the pure love that arises between the daughter of a refrigerator salesman and the son of a car mechanic, offering a glimpse into the lives and homes of the people of the Swedish Social Democracy during its heyday.
