He has been an instructor at SCA since the summer of 2009 and also teaches theater and stage combat at many area schools and theaters including The Academy for the Performing Arts and Balwin-Wallace University. He is very excited about this opportunity to direct another production with the wonderful students at SCA. Kathy Johnson (Musical Director) graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Music from Mount Holyoke College and has taught music to grades K - 8 in public and private schools since 1982. As a performer, Kathy has been heard as a member of the Blossom Festival Chorus. She has taught SCA Arts4Kids music classes since 2007 and Music Directed the Stories on Stage Musical since its inception in 2011. Jessica Uguccini (Choreographer/Stage Manager) is a 9th grader at Solon High School and a member of the SHS Drama Club. She participated in many SCA productions in the past and was the Production Assistant for Seussical, Jr. in the fall of 2013. She is excited to continue her work at SCA as the Stage Manager and Choreographer for this production. Rehearsals at SCA: Regular Rehearsals will be held at SCA on Tuesdays and Thursdays (6:30 pm - 8:00 pm) from January 22 - March 26, 2015. *Students are permitted 2 excused absences during this time period (2 late arrivals or early dismissals from a significant amount of a rehearsal will equal 1 absence). We do ask that these be requested in writing at least a few days in advance so that we may make proper scheduling changes. At the very least, SCA requires a call in advance to alert staff in the event that a student will be late or absent from rehearsal. Technical & Dress Rehearsals: Tech week will begin the week students return from Spring Break: April 7,8 and 9 (6:00 pm - 9:00 pm). We DO NOT permit absences once “tech week” begins. Tech week (the period of time which encompasses all Technical and Dress Rehearsals) is a very intensive part of the rehearsal process which involves putting all the technical elements and costuming of the project together. Absences during this time are not permitted because they are very disruptive not only to the technical process, but also to other cast members. A “no call, no show” or an absence during the mandatory “tech week” rehearsals will result in the student’s removal from the production. Solon Center for the Arts presents Magic Tree House: Dinosaur’s Before Dark Performances: Friday, April 10 (7:00 pm) *Student Call Time 5:30 pm Saturday, April 11 (12:00pm & 2:30 pm) *Student Call Time 10:30 am, Snack Time 1:15 pm - 2:00 pm Cast Party: There will be a cast party following the 2:30 pm performance on Saturday, April 11. Other important materials which should be brought to each rehearsal include: dance shoes, a notebook, the show script and score, a pencil, a water bottle, extra work and a snack (or money for the vending machine). Dinner & Snacks: Students should make every effort to eat dinner before arriving to rehearsal. Only if eating dinner beforehand is 100% unavoidable should it be brought to SCA. Students are encouraged to bring a snack (or money for the vending machine) to every rehearsal. Scripts: Scripts are the student’s to keep. Please encourage your student to write their name in their script and to take good care of it, only writing in it in pencil. If a script is lost, there will be a $10 fee to replace it. Costumes and Show T-Shirts: A show t-shirt is available for purchase at an additional fee of $7.00. Tickets for the general public will go on sale beginning Monday, March 9. SCA does not automatically reserve any tickets for parents of cast members. All ticket transactions are non- refundable and non-exchangeable. For this reason, please be sure to order tickets for all the shows you wish to attend and claim any comp tickets you are owed from volunteering. Photo Release: In an attempt to increase community awareness for the Spotlight Youth Theater Program, SCA would like to post pictures and/or video of upcoming productions on the internet and local television stations. If SCA does not already have a photo release form on file for your student, please completely fill out the form that has been provided to you this evening and return it to Christine Madden. If a completed Photo Release is not on file for your student by the time the cast picture is taken, SCA will be unable to allow your student to participate in the photo. • House Md Season 2 Episode 2 Autopsy
House md Season 2 episode 2 Autopsy This episode is all about what make life worth living even in the face of death Synopsis Andy is a nine year old girl with terminal cancer. She is seen at the beginning of the episode singing Christina Aguilera’s Beautiful as she puts on a wig and smiles at herself in the mirror. But she has a frightening hallucination and has to go to hospital where she becomes Dr House’s patient. Dr House is not just bothered about her condition but about why she is so brave, helping her mother cope with the worry and fears about her illness and comforting her. Dr House doesn’t believe that a nine year old can be that brave and thinks it’s a symptom of disease. During one procedure where Dr Chase is performing the tests, Andy says she has never kissed a boy and wonders what it would be like. Dr Chase says there is plenty of time for that, but Andy says she may die without ever having experienced kissing a boy. She asks Dr Chase to kiss her. Dr Chase says no at first, but changes his mind and kisses her gently on the lips. Back in the office, the team speculate whether Andy has ever been sexually molested which Dr Chase denies saying that he believed her when she said she’d never been kissed. Dr House is cynical and says she’s learned how to manipulate people from being abused then correctly guesses that Dr Chase kissed her when she asked.

  • A Feminist Criticism of House
Lutzker 1 House is a medical drama based on the fictitious story of Dr . Gregory House, a cruelly sarcastic, yet brilliant, doctor . Dr . House works as a diagnostician at the Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital where he employs a team of young doctors who aspire to achieve greater success in their careers . Being a member of House’s team is a privilege, yet the team members must be able to tolerate Dr . House’s caustic sense of humor . Because of Dr . House’s brilliance, his coworkers and bosses alike tend to overlook his deviant and childish behaviors . Even though Dr . House’s leg causes him to be in severe pain every day, and has contributed to his negative outlook on life, both his patients and coworkers do not have much sympathy for him . The main goals of House’s outlandish behaviors are to solve the puzzle of his patients’ medical cases . Dr . House handpicks the patients whom he finds have interesting medical quandaries and attempts to diagnose them . By conferring with his team, and “asking” for permission from Dr . Lisa Cuddy, Dr . House is able to treat the patients as he sees fit . He usually does not diagnose the patients correctly the first time . However, with each new symptom, a new piece of the puzzle unfolds, giving a clearer view of the cause of illness . Dr . House typically manages to save the lives of his patients by the end of the episode, usually without having any physical contact with the patient . Dr . House has an arrogant and self-righteous personality . Some of the lines that are written for Dr .
