Balloon launches: Promotional aerial outdoor balloon launches need not cause too much concern, once the balloons are airborne. The Civil Aviation Authority authorise on average 2,500 such releases a year. They advise that by far the greatest majority of the balloons go to altitude and shatter at 8,000 - 10,000ft.
