HGTV SPOTLIGHTS COMEDIANS AND THEIR HOUSE-HUNTING COMMENTARY IN NEW JUNE SERIES ‘HOUSE HUNTERS: COMEDIANS ON COUCHES’ New York [May 18, 2020] Fans who miss televised live events and the pithy professional commentary that comes with them can now look to HGTV to fill that void with its new, highly anticipated series House Hunters: Comedians on Couches (fka House Hunters: LOL). In a four- night, star-studded special event at 10 and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT from Tuesday, June 2, through Friday, June 5, America’s favorite contactless past time—watching and commenting on House Hunters—gets a fun new twist when seven popular comedians deliver hilarious, no holds barred, color commentary on classic episodes of the hit series. As a comedian, he performed in the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, had a one-hour special Dan Levy: Lion and appeared on Comedy Central Presents, The Late Late Show and Late Night. • Natasha Leggero is an actor, producer, and writer with numerous film roles, including Neighbors, Let’s Be Cops and He’s Just Not That Into You. She stars in CbS’ new comedy, BROKE, and was a series regular in NBC’s Free Agents. Leggero loved to act and was in many of her high school plays in Rockford, Illinois. As quickly as she graduated she moved even quicker to New York City to go to Hunter College and get her degree in theatre criticism. She began reviewing plays after she graduated but that was not cutting it for her so she moved to Los Angeles. In an interview with Comedy Central, Leggero exclaimed, “I just got onstage one night and I just was really talking about what I thought about Los Angeles. I didn’t really think people would laugh or I didn’t even know what a comedian really was.

On Halloween 2020, the American comedian hosted the fifth episode of season 46, and wore a t-shirt labeled "HAL" during the final send-off. Whereas HAL in all caps is often associated with a character from 2001: A Space Odyssey, Mulaney's tip of the cap was for the late Hal Willner, a Saturday Night Live colleague and friend. Saturday Night Live always has a different comedic vibe when Mulaney headlines the NBC sketch comedy series. Formerly a staff writer from 2008 to 2012, the comic has now hosted four times and typically contributes to surrealistic sketches that are slightly longer than the usual bits. "Bodega Bathroom" became one of Saturday Night Live's season 44's most popular sketches, due its absurdist humor and Broadway spin, and a new sketch entitled "New York Musical" is similarly grounded in theatrical themes.
