Allegheny Technologies Elects New Director 02/26/15 PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 2015-- Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: ATI) announced today that David J. Morehouse has been elected to the ATI Board of Directors. His election increases the number of directors to eleven. Mr. Morehouse, 54, is Chief Executive Officer and President of Pittsburgh Penguins LLC, which owns and operates the Pittsburgh Penguins National Hockey League team. He was named President of the Pittsburgh Penguins in April 2007 and has also served as Chief Executive Officer since September 2010. He joined the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2004 as a consultant for special projects, including the team’s new arena. Prior to joining the Pittsburgh Penguins, Mr. Morehouse worked on several presidential political campaigns and held positions in the White House and the Pentagon. Mr. Morehouse started his career as a boilermaker before attending the Community College of Allegheny County and Duquesne University. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. “We are pleased to welcome David Morehouse to the ATI Board. David has extensive experience in leadership, strategic planning and development, operations, branding and marketing, and government. His experience and innovative thinking will be valuable resources in support of ATI’s strategy to be an aligned and integrated company focused on creating value through relentless innovation. Community Report 2015.16 COMMUNITY REPORT | 2015.16 A LETTER FROM THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS CEO & PRESIDENT The Pittsburgh Penguins are more than a hockey team. We are proud members of our community – from our players and coaches to our executives and office staff – and we believe we have a responsibility to use the unique platform of professional sports to make a deep and lasting impact on our city and our region. It goes far beyond the $6.1 million that the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation contributed to charitable and community causes during the 2015-16 season (athough we are very proud of that!). It involves such wide-ranging efforts as delivering tablets to local schools through our signature Tablets in Education program; providing free baseline concussion testing to young athletes since 2011 through the HEADS UP initiative; building 12 dek hockey rinks in the Pittsburgh region; awarding annual scholarships to deserving high school seniors; and holding unique charity events such as the Aces & Ice Casino Night and the ROOT Sports Charity Night. Our players contribute in so many ways – many in private, out of the spotlight – but some of their more public ventures include visiting Children’s Hospital each season and personally delivering tickets to the homes and businesses of our season ticket holders. Co-owners Mario Lemieux and Ron Burkle have instilled a long-lasting commitment to community outreach and fan interaction through all levels of the Penguins organization. We are proud to serve the citizens of the Pittsburgh region – and especially the young people who are building such a strong foundation for a very bright future.

Statement of Kevin Acklin Senior Vice President and General Counsel Pittsburgh Penguins Before the House Gaming and Oversight Committee Representative Jim Marshall, Chairman March 24, 2019 Good morning, Mr. Chairman, distinguished members of the Committee, my name is Kevin Acklin and I am honored to be here today representing the Pittsburgh Penguins, where I serve as Senior Vice President and General Counsel and Member of the Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation. On behalf of our principal owners Mario Lemieux and Ron Burkle, our President and CEO David Morehouse, our General Manager Jim Rutherford, and our players, coaches, staff and fans, we thank you for your leadership in considering this important legislation which we believe will improve our charitable impact on the community. The Penguins Foundation is at the core of our mission to be the best franchise in sports, and is the primary vehicle through which we partner with and improve our impact on the community. For example, with the tragic shooting last October at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, the Penguins Foundation joined with the Steelers and Pirates Charities to support our city during its darkest days. Our Captain Sidney Crosby helped design a patch for players to wear in a home game just days after the tragedy, to show the world that Pittsburgh is and remains "Stronger than Hate." In just a few weeks, sales of these patches generated almost $700,000 in charitable support, which was directed to the victims and families fund at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and to a public safety fund with the City of Pittsburgh, to honor the sacrifices of our public safety heroes.
