    MEDIA INFORMATION July 14, 2015 Japan Race Promotion Inc. July 18 (Saturday) – July 19 (Sunday) 2015 Japanese Championship SUPER FORMULA Round 3 : Fuji Speedway Japan Race Promotion Inc. (President: Hiroshi Shirai, Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan) today announced details of the “2015 Japanese Championship SUPER FORMULA, Round 3 Fuji Speedway,” scheduled to take place on July 18–19 at the Fuji Speedway Circuit (length = 4.563km) in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The 2015 Japanese Championship is the only internationally accredited driver championship series in Asia, run over seven rounds and six circuits across Japan. Points accumulated by drivers during the season determine the final rankings. A total of 11 teams (entrants) and 19 drivers (cars) have entered this year’s Japanese Championship. Spectators have the chance to enjoy a domestic competition with world-class levels of racing, featuring seven top drivers from six countries (UK, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Brazil and India), driving cars with the same cornering speeds as the top Formula 1 racing cars. Fuji Speedway is a challenging course with a long back straight that allows drivers to reach speeds of more than 310km. The course also has high-speed corners that will test the limits of the race cars and a double apex corner in the final section that requires advanced driving technique. Drivers, cars and tires will also be affected by the high temperatures at this time of year. On what is likely to be a hot day, the course will put the concentration, stamina and mental strength of drivers to the test and make conditions tough for the turbo-charged engines, which generate much more heat than naturally aspirated engines.

    MEDIA INFORMATION 2019/2020 FIA World Endurance Championship Round 3: 4 Hours of Shanghai Michelin’s endurance racing tyres contribute to entertaining 4 Hours of Shanghai Round 3 of the 2019/2020 FIA World Rally Championship was won by the N°1 Rebellion R13 of Bruno Senna/Gustavo Menezes/Norman Nato who started China’s round of the FIA WEC from pole position after topping Saturday’s qualifying on Michelin rubber. Second and third were the similarly Michelin-equipped N°8 and N°7 Toyota TS050 Hybrids in the hands of Mike Conway/Kamui Kobayashi/Jose María López and Sébastien Buemi/Kazuki Nakajima/Brendon Hartley respectively. In contrast, the French firm’s LMP2 partners were down on luck in Shanghai. The class’s pole-winning N°42 ORECA 07-Gibson of Cool Racing, Lapierre/Borga/Coigny was halted by Race Control after suffering an electronics problem, while the N°22 United Autosports car of Hanson/Albuquerque/Di Resta lost power after debris got blocked in the air intake of its engine, eliminating it from the scrap for victory. Despite an unscheduled pit stop to cure the problem on Lap 8, it still completed the distance in third place – just 21 seconds short of the winner – to showcase the potential of its Michelin rubber both in qualifying and on race day. The LMGTE Pro class was topped by the N°92 Porsche 911 RSR of Christensen/Estre, ahead of Bruni/Lietz’s N°91 sister car and Aston Martin Racing’s N°97 Vantage AMR (Lynn/Martin). The LM GTE Am order was topped by the N°90 TF Sport-run Aston Martin Vantage AMR of Eastwood/Yoluc/Adam, ahead of the N°57 Porsche 911 RSR (PROJECT 1, Keating/Ten Voorde/Bleekemolen) and the Aston Martin Racing-tended N°98 Vantage AMR (Dalla Lana/Turner/Gunn).

    PRESS RELEASE 14­06­2019 SIGNATECH ALPINE ALREADY PREPARING FOR THE 2019­2020 FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP • The first entry list for the 2019­2020 FIA World Endurance Championship has been released at Le Mans. • André Negrão will remain with the team that will race under the name of Signatech Alpine Elf. • Up and coming French driver Thomas Laurent will join the n°36 Alpine A470 driver line­up. • Pierre Thiriet is on pole position to complete the trio. Held during the 24 Hours of Le Mans week, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest press conference revealed the provisional entry list of teams entered for the 2019­2020 FIA World Endurance Championship. As previously announced, the Signatech Alpine team will continue its LMP2 programme with the Alpine A470 still carrying its number 36. André Negrão will return for a third season with the Phillippe Sinault run team. In his first year with the French squad in 2017, the Brazilian finished on the podium in the 24 Hours of Le Mans as well as at the Nürburgring, in Mexico, at Fuji and in Shanghai while winning class honours at the Circuit of the Americas. He then went on to take seven successive top three results, including a victory in the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans with Pierre Thiriet and Nicolas Lapierre. Nicolas Lapierre has chosen to take on new challenges and the entire Signatech Alpine Matmut team would like to thank him for a fantastic four­year adventure that led to the world title in 2016 as well as six victories, including the 2016 and 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans, and 19 podium finishes ahead of the last round of the 2018­2019 Super­Season.
