Since the 1970s, musicians have trusted these volumes to get them through every gig, night after night. The problem is that the books were illegally produced and distributed, without any regard to copyright law, or royalties paid to the composers who created these musical masterpieces. We are very proud to offer the first legitimate and legal editions of these books ever produced. You won’t even notice the difference, other than that all of the notorious errors have been fixed: the covers and typeface look the same, the song lists are nearly identical, and the prices for our editions are even more affordable than the originals! Every conscientious musician will appreciate that these books are now produced accurately and ethically, benefitting the songwriters that we owe for some of the greatest tunes of all time! Biography Armed with some of the greatest songs ever written, The Miracles are still after 40 years, attracting enthusiastic audiences around the world. Motown’s first of many famous groups such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Supremes, The Commodores, and The Jackson Five, and of course The Miracles the very first group to sign to Motown records, continue to keep the Motown sound alive by performing songs, such as: “Shop Around”, “I Second That Emotion”, “Tears Of A Clown”, “Love Machine”, “You’ve Really Got A Hold On Me”, “The Tracks Of My Tears”, “Ooh Baby Baby” and many more. Their performances at the Nassau Coliseum, the Inaugural Gala in Washington, D.C. and the 4th of July celebration at Duke University with over 60,000 fans in attendance, was simply unbelievable. In 1956, Bobby Rogers, Smokey Robinson, Claudette Robinson, Ronnie White and Pete Moore, childhood friends became The Miracles, and embarked on a career that would surpass their wildest dreams. Berry Gordy Motown’s founder recorded and released “Shop Around” a number one smash on all the charts, establishing The Miracles and giving Motown their first gold seller, this was the beginning of the record company and the group success for many years to come. The Miracles and Motown Records became known throughout the entire world. Over the course of the years, The Miracles continued to record chart-topping hits, including “Ooo Baby Baby”, “Going To A Go-Go”, “More Love”, “Mickey’s Monkey” and “Tears Of A Clown”. The Miracles established themselves as one of the best groups of all times.

  • Smokey Robinson Celebrates 50 Years by "Having Fun" - Yahoo! News Page 1 of 4
Print Story: Smokey Robinson celebrates 50 years by "Having Fun" - Yahoo! News Page 1 of 4 PRINT Back to story Smokey Robinson celebrates 50 years by "Having Fun" By Gail Mitchell Fri Aug 21, 7:46 pm ET LOS ANGELES (Billboard) – The songs alone speak volumes. "Shop Around." "You've Really Got a Hold on Me." "Ooo Baby Baby." "The Tracks of My Tears." "I Second That Emotion." "The Tears of a Clown." "My Guy." "My Girl." "Cruisin'." "Being With You." These are just a handful of the classics written and, in many cases, uniquely interpreted by William "Smokey" Robinson. The singer-songwriter is celebrating his 50th anniversary in music this year, as is the iconic label Motown Records. On the eve of the release Tuesday of Robinson's new studio album, "Time Flies When You're Having Fun," on his own ROBSO Records, Billboard talked to the man behind the beloved tunes. Billboard: What's the origin of the nickname "Smokey?" Smokey Robinson: My favorite uncle, who was also my godfather, gave it to me when I was 3 years old. I used to love cowboys; that was my thing -- especially the ones who sang. And he would always take me to see cowboy movies. His cowboy name for me was Smokey Joe. Whenever anybody asked me what my name was, I'd tell them "Smokey Joe." The Joe dropped off when I became 12. Billboard: When did you first know you wanted to be a singer-songwriter? Robinson: I have felt like that since I was 4 years old.

Canadian Perspectives on Academic Integrity (2021), Vol 4, Iss 1 Editorial https://doi.org/10.11575/cpai.v4i1.72870 Editorial Responding to the Needs of the Community: Evolving Nature of the Canadian Perspectives on Academic Integrity Brandy Usick, University of Manitoba Brenda M. Stoesz, University of Manitoba Abstract In this editorial, we reflect on the origins of the Canadian Perspectives on Academic Integrity and provide an overview of the evolution of this journal. Despite its continued development, an important goal has remained: Creating “space for practitioners to connect and feel connected to one another on a professional level” (Eaton, 2018, p. 1). Keywords: academic integrity, Academic Integrity Inter-Institutional Meeting (AIIIM), Canada, Responding to the Needs of the Community: Evolving Nature of the Canadian Perspectives on Academic Integrity The launch of Volume 4 of this journal presents an opportunity to reflect on our origins: A discussion between an academic integrity researcher, Dr. Sarah Elaine Eaton, and a practitioner- scholar, Brandy Usick, contemplating how to document the innovative and exciting work being done – in a hands-on way – within Canadian universities and colleges. The landscape of academic integrity in Canada has grown considerably since this original conversation and its outcome in 2018 with the launch of the Canadian Perspectives on Academic Integrity. Since February 2018, we have published 47 articles: 7 editorials, 17 practitioner and 4 peer- reviewed articles, and 1 position and 18 reflection papers. A total of 73 authors contributed to these submissions representing 22 universities and colleges across 6 provinces. One submission was from an international contributor, Dr.
