Teacher’s comments
We felt the powerful energy to aim upward rather than forward from two Japan team Para
triathletes who participated in the Rio Paralympic Games. This valuable experience brought the
students a great harvest. The students gave comments such as "I learned that we exist by caring
each other" "It is amazing to see supports from others and efforts to improve the environment for
athletes with disability," etc. Many of their feedbacks proved that our initial objective has been
achieved. We think that the students have built foundation of their vision for 2020 Tokyo Olympic
and Paralympic Games. Support by one person is small but the combined supports by many
people will be great force and power. Invisible "tie" has been established by listening to
feedbacks and direct massages from the athletes who are supported. When this "tie" spreads to
other schools and many people widely, our baton will be able to be linked to 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
