However it was golf that caught his attention and after making a decision to be home schooled decided to make golf his chosen career. As such he turned Professional in 2016. Before becoming a professional, Kyle played the amateur circuit and represented Central Gauteng in all Inter Provincial tournaments teams at U17, U19,U20, Challenge Cup and Premier IPT levels. After having exhausted his amateur ambitions, Kyle decided to turn professional played in the Sunshine Tour Q School at Killarney but missed the second stage. Undeterred Kyle played the local satellite IGT & Big Easy Tours winning once and achieving 2 top 5 placing on the Big Easy tour. Through these performances it enabled Kyle to receive invites to play in the prestigious Mena tour, run out of the U.A.E. His persistence was rewarded when in September when he won the Abu Dhabi Citizen Open Championship which saw invites to the Sunshine Tour been offered. This gave Kyle the opportunity to gain experience playing on the tour which definitely assisted him in achieving a 7th position in the Qualifying School which awarded him his playing rights to the 2019/2020 Sunshine Tour Season. FORMAT The Qualifying School will be played over two stages of stroke play as follows: FIRST QUALIFYING STAGE (72 holes stroke play) The First Stage will be played over two courses, namely State Mines Country Club & Killarney Country Club from the 6th – 9th March 2018. Players will be allocated to a course at the close of entries – they are not permitted to select a preferred venue. All applicants will be placed into the First Stage, except for those exempt for the Final Stage. The First Stage is scheduled to be played over 72 holes.
